Post by wautd »

That movie will be on here tonight. I've never saw it, and untill recently ive never heared of it (i always tough there was never been a sequel of 2001: A Space Odyssey) so i guess it isnt "that" great.

Is it worth watching it?

Um, it's worth watching at least once. But don't expect to be "wowed" by it.

ERm.... why isn't this in OSF?

BTW - I have seen both 2001 and 2010, though both of them confused the hell out of me. Perhaps I should see them again.

2010 is less confusing than 2001,it doesn't have a 20 minutes of WTF is going on at the end.

At least it got much more story, and no 15-minuets light-only-sequences.

I haven't seen the movie, but the book is pretty good. I just wish they would make 2061 and 3001 into movies.

Fat chance of that. 2061 was a little lacking in action, and 3001 was even more so.

As for 2010, its definitely a good flick.

It's alright, but it's not amazing. The russian ship looks like an Omega though, that little novelty kept me entertained enough to keep watching. :P

I know. :(

But I'd pay to see 3001 just to see the monolith blockade of Lucifer at the end.

More like the Omegas look like Leonov, given their respective dates. ;)

I liked 2010, but it might feel a bit dated now with the end of the Cold War.
