I didn't look like that happened for the second one however.

And did anybody else catch all the music from the Mummy?

Please don't tell me you think the Hellsing manga has anything to do with this movie... :?
I know it doesn't, but it's along the same lines. The whole woman hunting the vampire thing.

The entire audience groaned and then laughed at the cheesey ending, it was great. I loved how everything caught on fire and I knew that carriage would blow up as it went hurtling off the bridge (reminded me of the Simpsons). There are so many other things that had me in hysterics, I don't think I could list them all.

Definitely not what I expected, but I can't say I'm sorry to have seen it.
Technically, it is believable that the first carriage would blow up. It was rigged to. But for the second to catch on fire was hilarious.
I thought it was because there torches on the wagon and the wolfman knocked it over when he crashed into it.
That's why it caught on fire, yes, but it was just way too much. It caught too much too quickly and burned too long.

Obviously it must be because werewolves are naturally covered in an easily ignitable fluid.

I saw it today over at the Great Mall. They had the sound system turned up so fucking high there several times when I had to plug my ears.

As for the movie, it was okay. I liked the comedy aspect, but the CGI was was over done. I can do with less screaming and high speed jumping around. More plot would suffice. Although I thought the big sun bomb was cool. It would have been cooler, if he dropped it in the main chamber.

Okay, so was the guy that played Carl the same guy that played Boromirs brother in Two Towers?

If Faramir is Boromir's brother, then yes.

IMDb is your friend. ;)

Hahaha! I was right! My friend was teasing me saying I was wrong.
But you know whats funnier, I knew I recognized Igor from someplace but could'nt place him. He was "Benny" from The Mummy.

Thanks Ver..

He was also in Deep Rising.

He's like Stephen Sommer's version of Jim Cameron's Bill Paxton.

One thing pissed me off, though. And that's the timing.

If you're gonna write a werewolf story, you have to be aware of the calendar. The movies covered two full moons, and yet seemed to take place over the course of a week.

How come it took an entire lunar month for the superfast transylvanian horses to reach Budapest, and yet only a day for everyone else to get back?

Thing is, it shouldn't really have been a problem, it's was just that stupid line "that's two nights away". If it was "two weeks away" then they'd be half way between Valken's first Full moon and Van Helsing's, with a good amount of time spent travelling.

But nooooo...

Budapest's distance from some point halfway to Rome>Budapest's distance from Transylvania, perhaps? Or maybe the ball actually took place a few weeks after their arrival in Budapest?
Don't hate; appreciate!

But the line where they claimed the full moon was in two nights time was straight after he was bitten, wasn't it? Or on their arrival in Budapest, anyway.

No, it was in the river after Igor had gotten away with Frankenstein's monster, wasn't it?

About the second carriage catching on fire, the werewolf did break a oil lantern or two when it landed on the carriage, spreading oil across the top and ignigting it. I think the unbelievable thing was how slowly the carrage burned.

And a little annoyance that is just something you have to ignore to enjoy the movie or attribute to Drac's insanity was instead of using his ability to control werewolves, the only thing that could kill him, and eliminating them from the face of the earth, basicly making him completely unkillabe, he decides to keep one around him, and sends it after the people that most want to kill him.

That was at their arrival in Budapest.

The dead travel fast....oh wait they weren't dead....um....maybe they used undead horses to get back.

Well it's not as easy as it sounds.

1.) The werewolf must be on its first full moon or Drac can control it apperantly.

2.) The werewolf must have the willpower to resist drac's commands during that time.

As for why he'd keep one around? For the thrill of control. Here's the creature that can kill him, whimpering and licking his boots, unable to even raise a paw in defiance. It's a PowerTrip.
