Last Of The Mohicans Question

Post by Admiral Valdemar »

Watching The Last Of The Mohicans again, I'm still wondering just what that strange weapon used by some of the Mohicans is called. The weapon is a melee style one like a large boomerang or a crooked ice-hockey stick. Anyone know what these were called?

If you are talking about the Micheal Mann directed remake, I think it was a coustom weapon made for the movie, as I have never seen anything remotely like it in any musem....

one of my pet peeves about mr mann is his tendancy along with mr bruckheimer is their tendancy to rape historical accuracy.

I looked it up once. It's called a gunstock club I believe.

My grandfather has a gunstock club from WAYYYY back. Very nice weapon.
It startled him even more when just after he was awarded the Galactic Institute's Prize for Extreme Cleverness he got lynched by a rampaging mob of respectable physicists who had finally realized that the one thing they really couldn't stand was a smart ass. - The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy

That's the one! Cheers, I'd love to actually own one of those things.
