CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - A video posted Tuesday on an Islamic militant Web site appeared to show a group affiliated with al-Qaida beheading an American in Iraq, saying the death was revenge for the prisoner-abuse scandal.
The video showed five men wearing headscarves and black ski masks, standing over a bound man in an orange jumpsuit who identified himself as an American from Philadelphia.
After reading a statement, the men were seen pulling the man to his side and cutting off his head with a large knife. They then held the head out before the camera.

and this is precisely why I advocate either pulling out (Not bloody fucking likely) or extreme violence of action. I've seen the entire thing. It was even worse than the video of the russian/cheche(?) having his throat opened. The man didn't try to escape.

My personal view is that overwhelming force should be used on the militants in Iraq. They're stirring up shit, let them suffer for it. If they were to just go away Iraq might actually have been a decent place by now.
Obviously blasting the shit out of them is not an entirely viable solution if we want to hope for any stability in Iraq, nor is it good for public relations.
