Remember reading about this amazing habit in The Blind Watchmaker, quite fascinating as there are usually two different broods at different times.

We get them up in Jesey in huge ammounts. They look sort of like tiny vesions of the Flyer Bugs from the Starship Troopers movie, and they are REALLY dumb. They will fly into you, crash, and spiral to the ground like a Huey with a SAM up her keister.

Additionally, their corpses blanket the sidewalks and make nasty crushing noises as one walks about.

Are these "June Bugs"? That's what we call them, they are dumb but they always seems to get in the house somehow, really hate that.

No I think they are something else. June bugs are really round these seem more slim. You're right though June bugs are really stupid.

These are not June bugs. June bugs are relatively large red-brown beetles who moronically fly into your window untill they either get knocked out or find an opening. Often they'll crash around untill you get annoyed and decide that their existence can no longer be allowed.

Cicadas are psycho-massive bugs that look like blue-green-brown flies with scary eyes. If you've never seen one before they can be sort of unnerving because of their size, but they're weak and stupid. You can do whatever you want to them and they'll make no attempt to escape.
