You only have a woindow of a few seconds once he feels his magic ebb from him... At that point he will be diving under the table, and his body guards wil commence Operation Humanoid Shield
And dont discount his apprentice... Assassinating him will not be an easy 1 shot kill.

He has survived worse than gunshot wounds, and is the type of stubborn bastard that refuses to die.

Aly, I cant help but notice that you seem to be metagaming on Thirdfain. He posts that he might think about an assassination, you post a whole bunch of defense. He posts that his black-eyes can subdue magic fields, you post that you have people waiting to see if your mages magic is threatened. He posts that he would use a rifle, you post that there is an anti-rifle shield in effect. It's none of my business, but it does seem a bit shady...

DS9 tech level, old chap. This guy isn't the same as the slayer of goddesses. He's just a very powerful man- one who can be made vulenrable, if only for a breif moment.

Besides, I'm going to do this all clever-like. I don't think he will have much of a chance (though neither will the assassin.)

Besides, how do you know I'm going to go through with this?

As for suriving, well, this is DS9 tech level, which means we can make some very nasty bullets. I don't suspect he would survive even a hit to the torso from an explosive round.

It's a common problem in STGODs, and one that is very annoying. I would prefer if it didn't happen constantly...

If you knew the character, from the books etc, you will know that he is the ultimate villian. He follows the rules of an evil overlord to a T and has contingency plan after contingency plan.

This is the type of man that sees hs own mortality in a mirror and HATES IT. Because when he look in a mirror, he sees himself age, die and decompose. He sees that with every living creature he sees.

I am simply playing him to character...

Fore Declaration
Dalamar the Dark

Trained by the best this young dark elf(not to be confused with drow) is the cream of the crop. Self trained in the forests of Silvanost in the dark arts, he used illusion spells to help in the defeat of the dragonarmies hi only real friend was killed in the battle.He was then banished when his aliegance to the god of Dark spells was disovered.

He wandered Krynn for several years, basically becoming what amounted to an alchemist/mage/assassin. Until he was invited to take the test of high sorcery.

Then, he was apprenticed to Raistlin, and refuses to leave his masters side, no matter how powerful he becomes in his own right.

Suffice to say however, that if he wants someone dead, they WILL die.

Many of the Gou'ald were simply slaughtered by the Arcane Empire, some survived under the care of the Hajr.

I am thinking that the mature Goa'Ul will die... and the Jaffa will be released on a swamp world and quarantined.

But those that commted crmes agnst our people will be killed by their victims families... And Artimus WILL kill your delegates to the conference...

I know that when I was in control of the goa'ould my tampering with the FJR was extremely.....er.....bad. (for lack of a better word).

But would the FJR trying to get their hands on goa'ould sarcofigus technology be ok? It's just medical tech, DAMN GOOD medical tech.

Minor nitpick. Goa'ould are under the care of mainly me and the krell as we have the direct ground control of the planets. I'm going to be relativly kind to be kind and generous to them, I'm saving it for a less eventful time though.

Well.......their either going to actually be greatfull, and over a few decades you will secure a valuable ally.........or their going to forever plot the downfall of your empire.
