What brought you to SD.net? And what do you think of SD.net?
Well...hey! I've been here for a year now! Yay! It's my one year anniversary so I've been wondering last night. What did bring me to SD.net, what made me stay for such a long time while I ditched a whole load of other forums.
Well, for one, I noticed SD.net when I was in BlizzForums, where some guy and another guy (one of them was Aya, methinks) were debating, StarCraft vs. Star Wars and one dude kept on posting pictures from the WEG and whatever. One guy gave links to the SD.net website about ST vs. SW and I checked it out, even though I'm not much of an SW fan and I knew dick about ST. I liked it and I saw the forums and I viewed it and I saw a bunch of really, really awesome people! And I thought "cool! This place looks great!". Then I decided to join and y'know what? I was never disappointed in this place, in fact, I was surprised at how great this place is. SD.net has taught me so many things and well, it's been a pleasure and an honor to be a member of this site and my time here has been quite memorable. Much of you might not remember me, but I will remember this place.
Group hug! *hugs self*

I haven't been pissed at, but I have been abused if you think about it. That and I am more screwed up now, and it is Wong's fault, because I would never have ever seen XaLEv, aerius, verilon, or Frank Hipper's "contributions" to the BotM and the board in general if it weren't for him. I guess it's more of a self-inflicted thing (when will I learn, do NOT click the damn link!), but it makes me feel better to blame someone else. Besides, with all his talk of anal sex, and the Yoda avatar, well...that's a mental image I could do without.
In all seriousness, though, it's a good place and I'm glad I'm here. Whether Zaia is glad I'm here is anyone's guess.

I lurked around ASVS for about five years.
Reading the web sites, the fanfics. Just watching, never posting.
Untill about a year ago, I decided it would be fun to take a look at SD.net again, to see what was new.
When I did I was like "What the hell? There's a forum now?"
And I decided to join.

Came here before Mike added the forum to learn more about the awesome abilities of the mighty Galactic Empire as opposed to the weak-kneed and pathetic Federation. Learned that the two were not even comparible and that the useless and Communistic Federation would be slaughtered by a single ISD. Then the forums started up, but those were the dark days, the days of Darkstar.

Awww...there's so much I've missed. How come when I join a forum, it's always after some horrible catyclysm and things are already starting to mellow down?
And I'd like to add that this place has really helped me on my questions on religion (who would've figured out that I'd learn more about religion from here ) and I say that Mike is totally kick ass! Like, Maddox level kick ass!
Edit:
Then, Mont, why don't you give all the vodka to Chowy?

Tony Case's "I Hate Star Trek" page had a guestbook that led me here. SDnet and Mike led me to ASVS. And I migrated from ASVS to here...mostly because most of my other ASVS buddies moved here too.
As an admin, I have to say that you are all time-wasting little bastards. As for SDN as a whole, I think Mike's done a great job with it.

Started out on SB.com. Found out about ASVS but never could get into the format. Heard about SD.net forums and after a month decided to hop on over. Decided the place wasn't all that bad and maybe I could give a positive influence for Trek. Stayed ever since.
Its one of only two message boards I go to. SB.com and SD.net are equaly good in my book.
