Yeah, and I've grown really fond of SD.net. Unlike AXN or some other forums I go to, the people here are fun and smart, understanding, and enjoyable, the intellectual content of this place blew me away when I visited this place. This place is like Mecca, except that if it were, we all would've been blown to shit by now.

I came here on the vanguard of the great TrekBBS invasion (check the history thread). I already had some fanfic here posted by HappyTarget, and I liked the SLAM board. So, like the vikings spotting fertile valleys, I stayed, intent on making the land I had once attacked my new home. I gave up my title as Lord of Trolls along with my Village Idiot title.

Fun fact: I hold the record for briefest tenure as VI, only 73 minutes.

And that's the story of CaptainChewbacca

I'll have you know I was once a mighty troll! There were 4 different HoS threads running simultaneously that wanted me banned. I have them archived somewhere, but Mike deleted all of the threads relating to the invasion. But you know what? RaoulDukeJr is banned and I'm still here, so I win.

Anyways, I stumbled upon Wayne's page one day, enjoyed it greatly, then found my way to SDN. After abandoning my modship at my previous forum due to "creative differences" I finally decided to shack up here full time. Best decision I ever made, although this place DOES have a few little things that piss me off to no end.

I think I got here via darkstar's site, the him being banned link, though i saw the actual site multiple times before that. At least in link format in google, took a while to actually click on it though.

This probably is the best forum on the 'net, the only trouble is it may work -too- well, in that many opinions are practically uniform among the boardizens, which cuts down on diversity, and perhaps makes people unready for when people in real life have different views.

Or something...whatever, i'm knackered. Bottom line:

Sdn = best of my bbs links.

I was a regular poster on SB.com, though mostly in the vs. part of it, and as this whole hubub about SD.net came up, I took a look.

It grew on me

And now my post count here is waaay higher than that on SB.com (which I only visit for HH debates anymore

).
In general, it is nicer, friendlier, and funnier here

Though I don't know if it's a good thing to have nearly 3,500 posts on any webboard...
