A Cowboy Bebop Music Question
During the Chase in Epsode 10(Ganymede Elegy) when Jet is chasing the Speeder Boat does anyone know the tune playing in the background?
Side question have they ever realsed the soundtrack of SB at any time?

Let me check.
....
That's slow one with the soft male vocal, right? It's called "ELM".
It's on Cowboy Bebop No Disk Original Soundtrack 2.
Not counting the feature film OST, there are about four CB soundtrack albums:
CB OST 1
No Disk
Blue
Vitaminless
That's it as far as I know. I think they're only avialible as imports.

The song you're looking for is ELM, performed by Pierre Bensusan. This is located on OST 2, I think. If not, it's definitely on the box set.
OST 1 ("COWBOY BEBOP," VICL-60201), OST 2 ("NO DISC," VICL-60202), and OST 3 ("Blue," VICL-60203) contain most of the music from the series. The Cowboy Bebop CD Box Set (5 CDs, VIZL-64) contains some more tracks (some repeats, but mostly previously unreleased tracks) along with remixes and a recording of a live performance by the Seatbelts. There's also "Vitaminless" (VICL-60248) and "Music for Freelance" (VICL-60371), which contain primarily remixes; the former is the only disc with the ending song, "The Real Folk Blues." Finally, there's "Ask DNA" (VICL-35297) and "Future Blues," (VICL-60756) the two movie soundtracks. There was an obscenely large amount of music made for Cowboy Bebop (with some episodes scored individually), making any one soundtrack pointless. Collecting these CDs is extremely expensive, though; the three OSTs are 2900 yen apiece before taxes and shipping, and the box set is over 100 USD before same.

Yeah, but "Cowgirl Ed" was only included with the first pressing of "Future Blues," so as a consequence it's the rarest of the soundtracks. Even with all of these discs, there are still tracks from the show that never appeared on any of the soundtracks.Neko_Oni wrote:Damn, I'm missing a soundtrack. BTW there's another disc, only has 6 songs called "Cowgirl Ed", and yes the Bebop music is awesome. Only Noir, .Hack//SIGN and Escaflowne come close (and Escaflowne is done by Yoko Kanno).

As I recall, the music playing during the chase scene in Ep. 2 is also not on the soundtrack.
