If I may point out, you’re not under US law, you’re under Monacoran Law. Secondly, I don't think a sarcophagus has the ability to re-attach a head.
Thirdly, what's this business with a "soul gem"? Someone care to elaborate, it seems like a religion based thing, which by definition has no real credibility. If you want to download an image of the brain’s neutral pathway’s into a very fancy computer, sure go ahead, but that takes a little more work than just holding a pretty stone next to someone’s dead body.

It won't work, the Soul Gem- Dalamar has neither my assassin's True Name, nor has he tricked my assassin into taking the Gem. At best, Dalamar will have a few scattered unusable scraps of Binat's soul.

Alyrium, soul gems allow both a saving throw and a willpower roll, unless you know the target's true name, and speak it as you use it.

It almost certainly failed to trap my assassin's soul. On the same note, the Journalist would be less likely to pass his "saving throw," but even then...

Alyrium, this is a VERY sketchy and flawed usage of the spell. To paraphrase hotfoot, if you are gonna use DnD spells, at least get them RIGHT.

Because he was cought after the fact If it was during the assassination, he would have been dead.

What gets me, is that we can accidentally kill a person who was commiting a felony, a percieved threat... and be charged with murder... while the monocorans do the same thing and WE apologize for it.

Your guy wasn't in his rights, the photographer was. Appearing without warning in a general's office is a good way to get killed, merely taking pictures of a delegate is not.

You see there's a difference, there are no laws against taking pctures, there are laws against tresspassing especially when you are doing so in military headquarters and then demand apologies from us for tresspassing.

When someone looks like a sniper, is positioned like a sniper, and acts like a sniper, they are commiting a felony. It is the same principle. If you expect a member of the secret service to ask questions when the president is being shot at on forign soil, there ar some issues to work out.

Also, get on AIM, we need to work over pre-trial motions.

Frankly, you could not haver had that good a view of the real sniper, for that matter. Instead of, say, investigating, your agents immediatly assumed the figure in the window carrying a large objject was a rifle-armed sniper- and then failed to do anything, merely waiting for the target to make a move.

You could have checked both, sent SWAT teams, or whatever- or even cleared out all the surrounding buildings upon seeing cameramen converging on the area.

Instead, you waited to kill everyone you saw. Metagaming, it makes sense, but to the STGOD, it's pretty ridiculous.

Of course, you took the STGOD stance that your guys were paranoid as all hell- fair enough, and that would lead to your security, but it also leads to accidents such as this one.

Well look at it from my point of view. every action I take, I seem to get jumped on. Had I investgated him using dalamar, Straha would have noticed the movement and opened fire on him for example.

Had I simply shot him, I would have been charged with murder regardless.

I didnt know about the first one(in game) until he started "shooting" so, Dalamar did what he was trained to do, neutralize the second threat.

And he would have gotten the same response because of course, Straha wanted this to happen...

The embassy is gone. The Overseer Military Complex is still there.
