Maybe you aren't declaring it because you want to perserve yourselves. We are bringing our marines over to board your ships, if you do not comply we have a funny feeling that you will not survive much longer in defiance.

"You will not tell us what do do inside our territory. You will be allowed to send a search team. But full scale boarding will not be permitted, and any marines armed with anything heavier than a pistol will be met with deadly force. Do I make myself clear?"

The files were received aboard the Aegis. Leego Diama quickly browsed the files, taking his attention from the battle for a minute or two. He just laughed at what he saw. The information was less than what he already knew. The Monacorans had given over all the information they had collected on the siliconoids, and the Monacorans had access to almost all the information there was to know about the mechanicals. The earnest tone of voice taken by the Arcane representative in the latest transmission caused Diama some slight doubt that was immediately thrown aside. The siliconoids had functioned unopposed in Arcane space for over a month... even without an alliance, normal diplomatic ties would have given the Arcanists more information than they claimed to have.

Once again, a request was received for the Combine fleets to hold off the attack until more information could be gathered. Diama hesitated again. He hated politics, and he was going to be damned if he let his target elude him becuse the Arcanists wanted to bring their mind-controlling diplomatic corps into things. No. He had all the evidence he needed, and he wouldn't let some blasted Arcane psycher convince him otherwise. The attack continued.

-ooc- Sorry, Aly. I have no in-character reason to abandon the attack. You better post ships in system and fight back, or I will have no qualms about posting the complete elimination of your fleet with no resistance.

All ships owned an operated by the Arcane Empire Jumped in system that werent hre already, the small fleet at the embassy not withstanding(which was basically the remnant of the 2nd and 3rd.)

The People of the Arcane Empire evacuated. Men, women and children. All of them scrambled through the portals into the empires planar holdings. There was no way they coud stem the tide, and the council would be damned if they would let innocent people die.

After sending the proposed location for a research dome the comm officer said to hectori "sir we are picking up planet side brodcasts of various news programs would you like to view them?"

Hectori thought for a moment, his mental connection to his mate was becoming weaker, which under the circumstances was expected, but this allowed him more individual thought. "Sure rout them to my room I will view them there"

Hectori and Lutris retired back to their room to watch the programs and attempt to better their language skills. A few seconds later though he bolted out of the room soaking wet still clutching his wife's hand desprately.

"KARSUS" he bellowed in tones unreachable by any human as he kicked in the diplomat's door. "What in the name of the order is this?" he said holding up a small computer display which cycled news of the arcane empire's involvement in the destruction of earth. "Please tell me you had nothing to do with this, and that we have not foolishly allied ourselves with those that would defile the great order."

Karsus was in tears at this point... He would ahve to watch as his homeworld, and his people were conquered... Hopefully they would find refuge in the planes, and withdraw from this plane of exististance completely.

The small fleet over the Siliconoid moon was pulverized by the sudden Krell onslaught. Outnumbered 15-1, the ships broke apart quickly before any significant firepower could be brought to bear on the Combine fleet.

Long-range sensor readouts were fuzzy, but it seemed that the Arcanists were sending in the rest of their fleets to aid the troubled homeworld. They were all headed for a rendesvous point just outside the system, from which they would jump in to engage the Combine en masse.

The Combine vessels quickly reformed. Wall cruisers were placed as a screen between the Arcane rendesvous point and the rest of the Combine fleets. There was only minutes until the Arcanists would be assembled and ready. Time to level the playing field. The Combine fleet turned its attention on planetary defenses, sending walls of energy towards the orbital defense platforms. Playing the vast numerical advantage, the defenses were slaughtered rapidly. Ground-based defenses fired up, but the Combine fleets didn't have the time to deal with those. They moved away from the planet, out of range of the planetary defenses. They formed a tight defensive formation and waited for the arrival of the Arcane ships from the rendesvous point, rapidly rechargind shields and reloading missile tubes. 5 minutes later, the Arcane fleets arrived in system.

The Combine fleet sprung forward again, still at full strength, having taken no losses an minimal damage from the token Arcane defenses. Escorts and drones raced forward, absorbing the hits, as the larger vessels came in for the kill, closing quickly.

"They asked to set up an embassy. And our diviners didnt reveal any differently. We had no idea they had built a military base. In fact, we had not even sent a diplomat yet before the rape of terra. It was a non-issue. And after the ar with the Goa;uld, our fleet was weakened. We were struggeling under patrol duties just keeping pirates at bay. Once the remnants of the 1st and 2nd fleets were repaired we sent them. But that took a month. We will guarantee full disclosure."

DO you have any idea how bad it is that we were incapable of adequatly securing our own borders at the time? Many powers, including, I presume, your own, would have been at our throats.

(I am actually looking for open war to an extent. The empire will be withdrawing from this plane of existence in all likelyhood)

The guns of the capitalships opened up in a devestating full broadside that ripped through the oncomming swarm of drones like buckshot through tissuepaper

And the smaller craft swarmed through the breaches.

4 squadrons of fighters, bombers, and assault shuttles departed swiftly towards Toril's surface, coming in at a low trajectory to minimize the amount of fire they would take. They broadcasted a peace signal, but would destroy any resistance that they met. Within a minute, they were circling high over the embassy. Assault shuttles launched salvos of drop pods containing Hunter-Killer specialist drones, while the fighters flew cover. The bombers held back, ready to intercept any heavies entering the area. After the inital drop pod salvo was complete, armor was dropped over the area, everything from APCS to MBTs. Within half a minute, the area would be secure.
One of the ground assault AIs beamed a message into the embassy:Surrender all information and siliconoids within your facility at once. Offer no resistance, or you will be crushed.

The recommendations from the tower had arrived; the words of Lilandra bore the promise of two distinct possibilities. The information was analyzed quickly; time itself was of the essence. In the end, a choice was made. It was the best decision that could be arrived at in the limited time frame and offered the greatest probabilities for success in either scenario. The orders were immediately sent out, an unusual silence dominating the government headquarters. This was not what the Empire had wanted, but actions had repercussions and the arcane actions had thrown many predictions to the winds. Now, all that the Empire could do was brace itself and take whatever steps it could. The Veithan information nets were abuzz with activity, as various government agencies and sources tried to explain the situation to the Veithan populace.

Edges of System

The fifth fleet arrived at their chosen staging ground with little warning. Their location was within the edges of Arcane Space, allowing them to reach any point within arcane space in a relatively short amount of time. Their arrival had undoubtedly triggered early warning systems, but that was to be expected. The fifth fleet settled to wait, sensors passively aware of everything about them. Sensor drones were launched, quickly vanishing into hyperspace as they headed towards their final destination. The drones were to appear in major arcane systems and reveal the tactical and strategic situation within those systems. Admiral Stone wanted the best possible intelligence before any action, if it came to that. His fleet was ready; all that he needed to know now was if he would be needed to throw his forces in battle. One way or another, he would know what his duty was soon enough. A channel was opened to the system proper as contact was sought to be established with arcane representatives.

”This is Admiral Stone of the fifth Veithan fleet to arcane representatives. The Veithan Empire is concerned with the allegations of collusion between your nation and the so called siliconoids. It is in our estimation in your best interest to either admit the allegations and come clean, or dispel them with facts.”

It took less than a minute after the admiral has sent his message for information to trickle in about the exchange of fire between the Combine forces and arcane elements. He sighed softly, his hands squeezing the edges of his seat as he waited. It was all up to the government now...He could be looking at the start of a flash fire.

Manasan Space

The so called “rapid reaction force” Manasa had been created in order to assure the security of that star nation. The alliance between the Veithan Empire and the Manasan Star Nation had been defensive in nature, and the reaction forces presence had been welcomed with open arms by the Manasan populace immediately after the assassination of the King. The Manasans were making rapid strides however in securing their defense, as the Veithan made planetary shield and orbital weapon platforms in orbit of their capital world affirmed. The rapid reaction force had been tasked with new orders, the information exchanged with the Manasans as the entire task force assembled and prepared to vanish into hyperspace.

The Manasan government was not thrilled by the information that the Veithan task force was leaving for the time being, but they understood that the possibility existed in their treaty. Furthermore, the Manasan navy was more than adequate to protect their interests from most threats. The rapid reaction force submerged into hyperspace and vanished. Their orders had been clear and they would be followed.

Veithan Space

Even as the rapid reaction force disappeared into the depths of hyperspace, four massive vessels slid from their moorings and accelerated away towards a designated point. The vessels accelerated gracefully, maintaining a two by two formation as they moved. Their size while impressive did not seem to be hindrance. Within a minute, all four vessels submerged into hyperspace as one and vanished. They would arrive at their destinations in due time.
