Tycho, if you want to avoid confusion like this in the future, I'd suggest a rewrite of your OOB. Two spaced out, badly formatted, and unclear posts obviously aren't working very well.

And I expect these defensive platforms around the Ringworld are also super-duper dreadnought firepower. Quite ridiculous; can I armour my planet up and fly it around as a warship?

Actually, it's worse than that, he's got two additional posts for the R'hllorans updating his OOB after his first post.

While leavng the original OOB untouched is nice, it makes the OOB thread a real hassle when you have to reference three different posts in order to get an idea of what's going on. My style is to edit the original post, with a record at the bottom of what I've changed and when I changed it.

Halo, for the last goddamn time, IS A PLANET, NOT A RINGWORLD. I only have a dozen or so defensive platforms, and they are roughly on-par with my frigates, and a load of weak defensive satellites.

When both a planet named Halo and a ringworld exist, and both created by you, you should expect some level of mistakes between the two.

Ok.. Here is the deal, Due to atlantean physiology, they cant mass colonize my worlds... they are to dry, gravity isnt high enough, air is to thin, PH is... different...

However, they can study the native fauna etc etc etc...

And we like having someone we trust in charge of our former territory.

I doubt anyone will honor it in-game... but still...

Actually, with the mass withdrawl of your people from the worlds, we will be left with nothing but the current evidence- a massive Machine base, and no explanation. This will almost certainly go down in the history books as a tale of Arcane treachery.

Rogue 9, do you actually think any of us would nuke civilians? That's mass murder; do you know what happens in "free" cultures when mass murder is committed? Most people flip a shit over a little torture (though the images look more like fat guys groping each other), how do you think they'll feel if we nuked a couple billion people?

That's the problem Alyrium, you left nothing to find. But you've now had hours upon hours upon hours to take any incriminating data you might have had with you to the other planes, and leave behind seemingly innocent data. Because you chose to run instead of showing us everything to inspect on our own, you are basically admitting to guilt, and you're no longer around any more to defend yourself. Plus, you're leaving your allies out to hang at those occupied worlds.

This most certainly will be remembered as the Great Arcanist Betrayal

How would things have ended? The verdict had already been decided by the nations in question.

even if we had allowed you in, we still wuld have been accused of destroying nformation. Proving ones own innocence is impossible to do.

Look, I know, out of character, you had no real alliance with the Machines. But, in character, this whole situation stinks of a conspiracy between Magic and Metal. Your high-tailing it out of this plane of existance only makes suspicions grow, especially when you demand time to leave peacefully, at which point you refuse to allow inspectors.

Allow me to paint you a picture: The police have a warrant to arrest a suspected drug dealer. They can do things the nice way, or they can bust down the door and take the drug dealer by surprise.

Know what happens when they do things the nice way? The drug dealer takes his drugs and flushes it down the drain and gets rid of all his incriminating evidence. That's exactly what we'd expect you were doing right now under the guise of this exodus, because we suspect you are guilty.

You're not clearing your name by doing this, you're damning it for all eternity.

Not quite. The verdict that you were guilty of criminal negligence is pretty much undisputable. We wanted to know what else you may be guilty of. That hadn't been decided yet, though it was strongly suspected.

Actually... here is the way it worked...

The Monocorans(police) walk up to the warehouse with a warrant, we allow them to search.

However, the angry peasants(the Krell) immediatly open fire, forcing us to defend ourselves before we can open the doors...

Not quite. The Krell demanded the search, on behalf of the Monacorans. You refused. Things got messy.

Sending data to a fleet in orbit wasn't enough. You should have stood down and allowed them entrance. You didn't. Now you're in a rush to "evacuate", nobody is "allowed" to land until everyone is gone, giving you a full day to destroy incriminating documents and forge ones which proclaim your innocence.

actually, the Krell demanded all information we had, including the location of their base. They demanded information we simply didnt have.
