Stravo is freeeee!! (Formerly Eagerly waiting)

Post by Stravo »

I am back in the New York office waiting impatiently for a decision to come down from the court. As some of you know I've been fairly absent due to a long trial down in the Philadelphia area for the last two months. Well we made closing arguments on Monday and I am now back here. The Judge said a decision will be handed down today at 1:30.

What does this mean for me? If the decision is for us, then I no longer have to worry about this case and can go on with my life. If the decision is against us then I have to travel down to Philadelphia in a few weeks and start the process all over again, except for a much larger, longer and more complex trial. This means that I will be away for most of the summer if this "mini-trial" is any indication of how long things will take.

So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If the decision comes down the way I want it to, then this thread becomes my welcome back to the world of SD.Net. Otherwise you may hear the sound of Stravo plumetting from his 20th floor office to the streets below in despair. *Summer in Camden...UGH*

do you mean to tell me that real life is not like Law and Order where smokin' hot female lawyers wrap up a case in under an hour? What the hell kind of legal system is this!?

The funny thing about that is that there are some poor bastards who actually come into this business really thinking that it is like that. The expression of absolute shell shock when I open a warehouse door and show them hundreds of boxes of paper they have to go through to see whats relevant is just fucking priceless.

If the decision isn't in your favor, will you be reduced to representing Internet Vomit Fetishists?

In all seriousness, best of luck to you.

GREAT NEWS!!!

Judge throws out all the plaintiff's allegations! We are freeeeee!!

Sorry I didn't tell you guys sooner but as soon as we found out we all went out for much needed drinks and dinner. I will be on vacation starting June 1st at the beautiful Miami Beach for much needed sun and oggling. Otherwise I should be back in full force starting tomorrow and my post count should steadily rise back to normal levels. More importantly to some, I will start working on much needed updates.

Thanks for providing a brief bit of serenity in these hectic months.

Fuck me....the BSG/ST crossover, one more thing on my plate this summer. I really need to stop being so inspired to write new stories.

Welcome back. Just in time to take your place among the team saving the world in my fic. As soon as I'm done with those tripledamned finals. Which should be after next week. And papers. I hate papers. I've spent the last 8 1/2 hours or so finishing a paper due tomorrow. And I'm still not done. GAH. :banghead:

Sorry if this came out Venting-ish, but I hate writing about the things I have to write instead of the things I want to write.

Have a very nice day.
