Bucky vs. Garfield

Post by Lonestar »

And now, the sd.net cartoonist main event...

In this corner, that Cat that defined cathood...reaching epic sizes in weight and monetary wealth...the one whose comic has been stale recycles of classics for quite some time.....

Garfield!
Image

In this corner, the new Lord of Catness....the siamese with and attitude...the one who can only be describe as "Batshit insane"....

Bucky!

The Arbuckles move into the same neighborhood as the Wilco's. Bucky see's Garfield waddling around, acting like he owns the place. Who wins when these two titans turn against each other?

Bucky all the way, besides Garfield will probably go down in the first round due to cardiac arrest.

Bucky will team up with the ferret to deal with the new threat. After Garfield is pushing up daisies, the ferret turns on Bucky, and seals him in an air vent. Where Bucky dies. The ferret, feeling guilt, kills himself.

The end.

BTW, you need a ferret option. I forgot his name. Fungo or something.

Garfield. Because it will ruin Bucky's clean sweep and annoy you.

Bucky lost a fight to an elderly cat who was taking a nap.

We've seen Garfield own Nermal and Odie multiple times, without breaking a sweat (or pant).

Garfield wins.

Didn't bucky lose to a chicken? I remember that arc very well, and if I recall he freaked out when he saw it.

Garfield puts on his blanet and becomes 'the Caped Avenger!' and beats Buddy senseless.

However, in all seriousness, we've seen Garfield pull some freaky stuff for a cat

i.e Karate Cat Garfiend breaking table legs
Garfield smashing through walls and doors to get to food
and my personal favourite
*drum roll*
He can eat more lasanga then is physically possible.

Perhaps Garfield could simply eat Buddy
I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.

It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.

Bucky would kick Garfield's ass. Then use it as bait against the ferret.

Garfield is old and unoriginal now. Therefore, he deserves to lose. Just like Rocky Balboa beat Apollo Creed. The older and weaker make way for the younger and stronger.

Bucky may be funnier, cooler and more interesting, but his character is based on the idea that he's all talk. He always loses.

Garfield has faced big dogs, ghosts, pirates, rats the size of ottomans, and Arlene, and lived to tell the tale. He's even beat up or outsmarted most of his foes. Bucky just sues them after he gets injured.

I think Garfield is going to win this more easily than the ferret won against Bucky.

Now, Hobbes or Catbert would absolutely annihilate Garfield, but they're not involved.

Oh, and even Bucky can take that damned lisping cat from "Mutts." I hate that smug bastard.

Since when does a Garfield vs Bucky discussion require any degree of professionalism?

At any rate, by the time I cast my vote, there were already two others in favor of the Fat Cat. Not that it matters, except my plan was ruined.

Besides, I'd have voted for Garfield anyway because he makes me laugh and I've seen him torment, and even "injure" Odie. All I ever see Bucky do is insult Satchel, and Stachel still manages to one-up Bucky quite a bit of the time (I can only remember Odie doing this once or twice, and that required assistance IIRC).

And I really don't find the "Get Fuzzy" comics all that funny, either. :P

You dislike fairly high quality artwork? Phillistine!

Unlikely. Bucky has caused massive damage to Rob and Satchal on more than one occasion. Garfield bitches about mondays.

Besides, Bucky has cooler friends.

Bah! High quality? Bah again! Blondie is higher quality than Get Fuzzy. I mean, look how hot she is! :D

Because Mondays are fucking evil. And I have yet to see this "massive damage" inflicted.

So? Just let loose Nerville (or whoever it is) and Bucky and Co. will simply go insane and kill themselves.
