Godzilla 1941

Post by Raxmei »

"I fear that we have awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve." Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto

December 7, 1941. The attack on Pearl Harbor goes exactly as our history remembers, with one difference. As USS Arizona sinks to the harbor bottom, the impact wakes up a creature that had been lurkiong there since time immemorial. It's Godzilla, and it's very cranky.

What effect does this have on the war?

After Godzilla destroys the American naval forces stationed in PH, he goes after his natural target: Japan.

Both fall to the mighty beast, and the Nazis win the War. Until they fall to Godzilla in a failed occupation attempt of the Japanese Islands in 1950.

I never saw the original movie. How did they kill him the first time around?

Godzilla picks up a battleship and swats all the fliers down, then eats everything. Everyone dies. I therefore shouldn't be making this post since I would therefore be dead.

Well Godzilla first burns peal Harbor to ash. American pacific forces are split between the japanese and battling the giant kaiju. This results in several major japanese victories

The japanese try to stay out of Godzilla's way but he heads for japan as always. Once the american's see that Godzilla's going after japan, they fortify their positions and start to pay more attention to the war in europe, while making sure that Godzilla doesn't come to the west coast.

japan is burned to ash by Godzilla

Germany is Burned to ash by the allies.

not much difference except for much much more japanese and american casualties.

Eventually, Godzilla burns the world to ash.

Godzilla as we know him did not even exist at that time. In 1941 he would still be a normal (if you can call a race of dinosaurs that has survived until the 50s normal) gojirasaurus. He wasn't transformed into the giant radioactive monster we all know until 1954.
Don't hate; appreciate!

RIP Eddie.
