Two litre bottles are usually a waste of money for me because I can't drink it all before it goes flat. Cans cost more per ounce, but I can make a 12 pack last for weeks. These days, I drink more beer than soda anyway.

Do you leave them alone or do you find their tastes too irresistable to stop?

Coke also stopped matching Pepsi's two for $2 at Circle K convienence stores.

That means you can get two Pepsi 24oz or two 2 liter bottles for $2.

Coke was matching it Pepsi for awhile but they stopped recently.

Since I always buy Mt. Dew or Brisk when at Circle K I never realized that the Coke bottles weren't two liters.

You can still get Mt. Dew in 3 liter bottles (never in the refrigerated section) with the same big mouth opening they sell the 1 liter bottles with. For some reason the 2 liter bottles have the smaller (regular) opening.

I don't think I've ever seen a 1.5L bottle of Coke before...

We buy Diet Coke by the 24-case roughly every week. I need to drink at least 1-2 cans a day, every day with only about a single day's interruption or else I die from caffine withdrawl.

We had the 1.5 bottles here until a while ago.

The 2L ones work out better for us at my house because I can often drink one a day by myself anyway.

There have always been 2L and 1.5L bottles of coke available where I am. There is also the 1L bottle which is a little more rare.

Heh I just buy a few months worth of soda at whole sale, granted I dont drink it every day but it is fairly cost effective.

795mL? I could've sworn they were 600mL bottles. Are you sure you're not confusing them with 750mL liquor bottles?
Quite sure, I bought them in a six pack at walmart in calgary and out here in Vancouver,

24-pack flats??? You can get walmart brand in 36-pack flats. Walmart brand's pretty good-- and 36 cans for 4-5 bucks, well, i definitely call that a deal... especially considering i'm a colleger! Generally a flat that huge will last me a good three weeks, usually more, considering i usually have a buncha other drinks in the fridge too. Not bad, eh?

Addendum... the Dr. Thunder (Walmart ripoff of Dr Pepper, Pibb) is way better than either of those two-- and it being cheaper doesn't hurt in the least!

Never really seen 1.5 liter bottles around. In any case, it's common enough for sales of 12 ounce cans to be about equal per weight as the 2 liter bottles, if cheaper (<12.5 cents per can) my family tends to stock up on them.

Because it's a horribly toxic chemical that accounts for countless deaths every year. Mostly by drowning.

Wait a second, that was a.... Oh, shit.....*runs away*

Seriously, though, i try not to drink soda, so I neither know nor care about the size of the container.

Have a very nice day.

I don't shop at Walmart as a rule. Usually get my food at Smart & Final anyway, they've got fairly decent prices.

I haven't seen the 1.5L bottles here, but I probably wouldn't buy them. I usually drink a minimum of 2L per day, so I just get one of those.

I do sometimes get the 24 pack of cans though. If I see them on special i'll grab one, and it will usually last me a couple of days.

2L per day? Dude, I'd tone down on the soda intake, that stuff can cause serious damage if you drink it like a fish. 2L lasts me at least three days depending on what I'm doing. Course, it goes flat then...

You can get resealable caps for 2 liter bottles that actual seal them better than the original caps did before you broke the seal. They should keep them from going flat for at least 3 days.

I like my Coke or Dr Pepper to be in ice cold cans. The plastic bottles seem to have a different taste or as someone also mentioned a little less fizz.
The local Fry's has glass bottles of Dr Pepper at their deli. Thats pretty good.
I only like 2L bottles for BBQ's and such.

I know what you mean about things tasting different depending on the packaging.

I can't remember where it was but after years of drinking Mt. Dew in cans and plastic bottles I finally had some in a glass bottle. It tasted incredibly weird like that.

Coke is great in glass and when I was a kid we used to get RC in glass bottles.

If you stay away from any soda in a steel can with a seem. Those are absolutely nasty, especially if it's diet.

Oh, I know it's not good for me, but between my awful diet, refusal to exercise and heavy smoking, its got some serious competition in the 'doing me damage' stakes. My personal record is about 14-15L in one night.
