We had trailers for both TTT and ROTK with that music.

The music I'm talking about is from this trailer. It starts exactly 1:40 into it.

Ahh, ok. The part right before there (the choral section) is on the soundtrack, but I don't remember your speech music being on there. Have you looked to see if there are more CDs coming out, or if the box set of CDs has additional music?

The Attack of the Clones soundtrack is missing many things, most notably when Anakin is confessing about how he killed the Tusken Raiders, and the Emperor's Theme is playing.

The Matrix soundtrack missed over half the music in the movie, most notably the subway battle between Neo and Smith, which was one of the best bits of music in the film. Fortunately, I have aquired that particular track elsewhere.

Yes, which is why they need to release an Ultimate Edition like they did with TPM.

Ah, another one I miss is Black Hawk Down but I'll admit it's sort of nitpicky. It was a well done CD and I love it to death, but some of the variations of "Leave No Man Behind" in the movie were badass, and I want some of those damn it! Like I said, nitpicky as Hell (they were what, individually a minute at the most in the movie?), but that doesn't change my wanting for them!

Zaia-aia, you're thinking LotR: TTT, I don't recall that music in the RotK trailer.

Will a search for Requiem for a Dream find it or do i need a song name. I really liked that music and was pissed off that the OST of TTT didn't have it on as the main reason i bought it was for that song!

The escape from Venice in the original Italian Job, I don't recall it appearing on the soundtrack, which is a shame, as it's the best piece on the film.

I remember this one site I came across, a long time ago, that had a breakdown of what music you were hearing in various movie trailers. Needless to say, I was surprised that a good chunk of it didn't come from the movie itself. This depressed me, but taught me a valuable lesson: never buy a soundtrack until I have either A) heard the songs elsewhere (sample sites, limited P2Ping, etc) or B) listened to them in the movie itself. The trailer's music does not always equal the movie's music (much less what makes it on the CD).

However, as this thread shows, even option B is not always an accurate guide.

The Requiem For Dream track wouldn't be on any LotR OST since it's copyrighted to another film and record label. Maybe the bootlegs of LotR CDs may have it, but not official ones.

I loved the trailer for The Matrix that used The Eyes of Truth by Enigma. I don't really go big for Enigma, but that combination was perfect. To this day when I think of The Matrix, that's the music I think of.

I don't think anything has the tiny bit of music in TESB where you see Luke's X-Wing approach Cloud City. Literally, it's probably only a few seconds long. I guess they didn't think it was worth it to put on a CD.

The music playing as the troops enter the lobby in the famous lobby scene of The Matrix. Not the music that plays when Neo and Trinity go apeshit, but the music that's playing while they stand there and wait for the army-men to take their positions.

There are several cues missing from the soundtracks for Star Trek 2 and 3. (WHY are these so deficient???)

The Star Trek 5 soundtrack differs from the movie in at least one place (where Kirk stares wideeyed as the Klingon gunnery chair rotates to reveal Spock).

There are many cues from seaQuest that I would love to have. The soundtrack is sadly deficient.

Similarly, there are several cues from seasons 1 and 2 of Star Trek TNG that I would love to have (notable episodes include '11001001' and 'Peak Performance', episodes with excellent scores as opposed to the lethargy of later seasons when Rick Berman squeezed his fist).

The music used in the Star Trek 6 trailers.

The music in David Lynch's Dune differs from the released soundtrack; the soundtrack is IMO inferior with regard to instrumentation.

Finding Forrester.... although that soundtrack was pretty much just all Miles Davis. If there is a god, he spoke through the trumpet of Miles Davis.... at least until Bitches Brew, then the devil took over.
