Right, I'm curious as to how much of a Navy I have on my hands here.

I was told before that I had roughly 2 Dreadnoughts, 2 Carriers, 150 Frigates, and 200 Destroyers. Now the one thing very missing here is middle-class ships, and that fact that there are so many smaller class ships.

So I was wondering, would this be an acceptable OOB for the entire remaining Jardanian Navy:

2 Dreadnaughts
2 Battle Carriers
5 Heavy Cruisers
2 Light Cruisers
4 Normal Mine Layers
100 Frigates
124 Destroyers

Also, seeing as to the debacle we had with wormhole technology, would it be possible to change the Jardanian FTL tech retroactively to a B5 Hyperdrive style?

Dumb. That sport takes too long to clean up the field and start again. Hunting is as fun in it's way, and much more repeatable. It's especially amusing when you're hunting people.

I must say, that sport is far more successful when you're knocking off independent worlds than star republics. :P Especially republics forming the backbone of the most powerful defensive alliance in Known Space. (Dead is it? Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!)

About how long has passed time wise? I'd like to know so I can tweak my OOB accordingly.

Lightly. There are probably only a couple dozen on planet right now, and they won't play a big part in the action. I reckon any gunship would be able to take them out.

this is going to be about infantry, some with power-armor, and extensive usage of jammers and ECM combined with mingling in the civilian populace to avoid detection.

What vehicles the defense has will probably be hidden and kept out of the fighting at least at first- and large amounts of the fighters won't be clustered in the cities.

Sharkbait. I know you love the Freud cannons, but they are not passive crowd control devices, but rather large-scale psychic attack weapons. Using a mind-distortion cannon on a large civilian population is what we in the industry call a bad idea.

That is, if thats what you have in mind with those ships answering Magi's call...

Actually the freud cannon is for the columns of tanks and such. He has sonic weaponry with no side effects for widespread use.

Force Declaration

Ezekiel System Mujahdeen

2,000 experienced Mujahdeen, with portable antiair and antiarmor missiles, stealth equipment, jammers, ECM generators, modern assault weapons and body armor, and 200 suits of power armor, most of which is currently in hiding.

20 Ouster Blackeyes assassins/insurgency specialists. Well disguised, most are working with the Mujahdeen, but some are mixed with the civilian population

20,000 inexperienced Mujahdeen: Mostly recruited over the last few weeks, they have been trained by the experienced, and have some modern weapons and equipment.

Many Mujahdeen are mixed with the civilian population, and are in place with intent to work in behind the lines actions.

200,000 Cleric-loyal militia and strongmen- very poor troops, but many will probably turn to the Mujahdeen as the campaign wears on. None are in the capital city.

All are fanatics.

If there's one thing I DETEST in STGODs, it's when people try to use simple methods to solver complex problems. Alyrium has made this mistake in the past and gotten shouted down for it, and I intend to continue that proud tradition.
The atlantian ground forces were dropped near the CoG fighters
How do you know where the fighters are grouped? How are you finding the concentrations? How are you avoiding the antiair missiles?
and began to immediately use sonic pulses on a lower power setting to dissable them without causing much perminant physical harm

What about the ones with power-armor?
at which point the destroyers used their D-Flux systms to relocate all of them to holding cells that had been designated for them where they were quickly searched and stripped of any weapons.
Wow, your teleporters work through ECM and jamming fields? Spiffy!
the atlantians swept quickly through the city with the destroyers using tactical Dimension fluxing to move troops as needed.
Wow, nice teleporting despite the fact you are facing combat conditions!
Everyone who was near the rebelious forces was captured and placed in holding cells for the UP to help sort later,
Once again, nice job of INSTANTLY detecting insurgent positions and detecting who is a Mujahdeen and who isn't!
everyone who was in possession of a fire arm however was imediately placed in a high security area once their weapon had been removed.
Wow. Just... Wow. You do realize this place has been at war for months now, and that weapons have been funneled in in huge amounts? You'll need a LOT of room to fit all the armed people...

Sharkbait, be glad I addressed this in the OOC thread instead of happily writing up the slaughter of your troops as they bumble about in an enemy city, teleporting into walls and getting cut down by ambushes and antiaircraft missiles.

-edit-

Oh, and please, don't hurt your back while commiting ALL that autofellatio!

I recommend you read some of the ground actions in the past, you obviously have NO clue how to go about this.

Oh, and keep in mind, there are 2 other planets in the region undergoing Mujahdeen takeovers- Rebkah and Sacrament, IIRC.

All things aside, can the process of posting numerous small posts, quickly following each other, please come to an end? Please, if you are posting an action, just get it together into one post and post it. Otherwise, the game thread is artificially inflated as you take 3-6 posts to make what is essentially one action, and battles can turn into post wars to see who can post first and fastest.

Basicly with the prison system we are scooping up everyone doing a quick mind scan on them and sorting them into civilians and fighters of cource those holding weapons are imediately sorted as fighters and if any of them struggle too much sonic weapons are used or a quick dose of paralizing toxins.
All I want is a kind word, a warm bed, and unlimited power.

Trick? What trick? I don't see any trick here. Certainly, the defenders (and myself) were not expecting the fishies. That doesn't mean that the "tactic," which amounts to "Hey, let's fly our destroyers low over a large city, and magically pick out which buildings to attack and which ones not to, while ignoring some of the basic tenets of STGOD combat by teleporting in a jamming field!" is actually going to be effective, or even reasonable in this STGOD!

I believe the last 4 posts have been bullshit. I am asking that my concerns be addressed in this OOC thread, and they are not being addressed.
