On the contrary, we believe this speaks well of our capabilities. We do not only sell military services, of course. Feel free to contact us at any time.

A gunboat scanned the talking terrorist, the scan was forwarded to diplomat Reed. The other gunboats scanned the other terrorist and area Looking for bugs that the marines would have missed.

"By the way, your transmitter? Give it up now or I'll consider you to be breaking the parley and engaged in hostile action. Invade? No. Destroy Yes. Why not tell your puppet master to join us?"

The marines around shifted their rifles.

"What makes you think that? You broke the parley already by taking our weapons and incarcerating us, bastard. I am merely recording this and sending it back to the city, so that the events here can be remembered in the tomes and holy books later. Why does that bother you? It hardly hurts you."

"My only master, Soldier, is the Lord my God- and you can never hope to hide your heresy from His eyes. Now, are we to waste more time like this, or are you going to return our weapons and let us free? I don't believe we have anything more to discuss, unless you are willing to accept our terms. I'd like to remind you that the eye of the world is on us as well as the eye of God, and that these transmissions are being sent to the newschannels as well as the Mujahdin leaders in the city.

Well, soldier? Is this travesty of a parley to come to a civilized end, or will you show your true colors?"

"So be it. Good day, Soldier."

Suiting up, the delegates turned and left, piling into their vehicle and returning to the city.

"Sarah, Lady, they did as you said. They are truly the Beast."

"Did I not warn you against doubt? Inform all the Mujahdeen. Make ready- now, we will do God's will as we have not done in since Ix'agal."

Once the Atlantians had recieved the message from the UP the lept into action imediately destroyers decended into the atmosphear and targeted the columns throughout the city

The atlantian ground forces were dropped near the CoG fighters and began to immediately use sonic pulses on a lower power setting to dissable them without causing much perminant physical harm at which point the destroyers used their D-Flux systms to relocate all of them to holding cells that had been designated for them where they were quickly searched and stripped of any weapons. the atlantians swept quickly through the city with the destroyers using tactical Dimension fluxing to move troops as needed. Everyone who was near the rebelious forces was captured and placed in holding cells for the UP to help sort later, everyone who was in possession of a fire arm however was imediately placed in a high security area once their weapon had been removed.

More defiant targets, such as tanks were subdued by the Atlantians simply ripping up chunks of concreat and bludgeoning the them with the massive slabs, once an area was neutralized they quickly moved on to the next with perfect efficency allowed by an empathic link between the troops, they moved in unison nearly as one mind.

Atlantian forces continued to spread out accross the world quickly mopping up any remaning fanatics in the battle zones to the UP's prison ships where Atlantians and UPs worked side by side to sort out who was who, mean while the destroyers provided excelent cover for ground troops by continuing to dissable the tanks and heavy artillery.

UP Marines searched everyone. Female marines searched females and male marine searched male. Mothers and children were kept togather in another hole. Young males were cuffed and blindfolded as were armed. As were most armed persons. The population was sorted, disarmed and set up for processing for cards.

Any terrorist found were hustled off to a new set of cells.

Ezekiel
Former Arcane Occupation Zone, Covenant of God

Retards in Clown Suits.

Risha shook her head as she looked at the initial reports. No other description fit the invaders. The Aquarians clearly hadn't fought a war in a LONG time, and they were proving it over Ezekiel as they rushed over the cities, attacking randomly, knocking down buildings and teleporting haphazardly, sending entire platoons of troops to instant death entombed in concrete. Wide stretches of the city had been emptied of populace, and by sheer luck, the Aquarians had even swept up a few of the camoflaged Mujahdeen positions. Some of the Aquarian destroyers were listing, having teleported up large chunks or concrete and metal, their teleporters bulloxed by the heavy ECM and jamming fields in the area. One was burning in some places, as it had taken massive internal damage when it teleported up a brace of large gasoline tanks from the city's edge, causing a rather impressive internal explosion. The attack was already in disarray, and not one of the Mujahdeen had even opened fire.

Risha smiled. As per their standard tactics, most of the soldiers had evacuated the city. Small cadres remained, setting up ambush points in hidden locations, shielded from the sensors of the warships above by the jammers and ECM generators which had been seeded across the city.

The Aquarian destroyers were low enough over the city now, in their mad and poorly-thought out rush to clense the city.

Risha thumbed three buttons on her comm.

WESTWOOD. DESTINY. PACKER.
All units. Focus fire, agreed-upon targets. Shoot and scoot.

Hypervelocity missiles lashed out from their disposable launchers. Explosions ripped across three of the destroyers, on which the fire had been focused. With their shields down to allow them to teleport, they were easy meat. Two of them began to come apart in the atmosphere, spewing flame and debris.

SAINT. MANTICORE. IRON.
Good work. Disperse. C Locations.

Risha grinned. Her troops in the city would already be relocating to new sites, following the codebooks.

Scouts were reporting that the enemy had been teleporting troops down across the city. Many of the units had been scattered by the intereference. They would be in unfamiliar terrain, seperated from their units.

Risha thumbed out new orders.

JAGER. SPIDER. ENDOSLUNG.
Strike teams. Enemy infantry in city. Search and Destroy.

The first wave of Aquarian infantry, split up in unfamiliar territory, would be slaughtered.

Blood King Space
Temesvar, Capital

The Veithan representative listened patiently to the exchanges between various nations, the exchanges between the Monacoran representative and the duke before he admitted that the Duke had a point about the portals. Magic was not something that the Veithan Empire was terribly good at, and while they had their own ways and capabilities of dealing against it, this was a situation that may require a finer touch. He waited until there was a relative silence before he spoke.

“That is more than acceptable Duke Peipus and generous. We look forward to receiving your specialist personnel in order so that the gateways may be sealed in the most elegant solution possible.”

Veithan Annexed Space
Al-Quadim System

The Veithan shuttle docked in the location which had been chosen for it, the process lasting slightly longer than expected since this was not routine. The shuttle bay within the Gladsheim vessel was not identical to Veithan ones and thus, it took a few more seconds for the shuttle to align itself properly before landing. The Gladsheim battle carrier was certainly an impressive vessel, seemingly sculpted for both appeal to the eyes and its function for war.

The Veithan delegation was small, Admiral Stone himself and single companion whose uniform ranked him as a lieutenant. The Gladsheim delegation was noted immediately, Admiral Stone returning the greeting cordially. He had a good feeling about the Gladsheim people, he just hoped that feeling did not bite him in the ass later. When the Veithans were lead towards their final destination, they naturally took a good look at their surroundings. It was not as if many of them had had opportunities to walk within Gladsheim warships in the past. The corridors of the vessel were spotless as was the tradition among many navies, the lighting was a bit more dynamic than in his own vessel something that caught his eyes almost immediately. The lack of any physical interaction devices or monitors was not overlooked, and immediately Admiral Stone believed that the Gladsheim were very confident in their control system. Veithan vessels incorporated a great deal of thought interfaces, but there was a healthy amount and belief in back-up systems. Some of these systems were physical, obviously the Gladsheim nation was confident that they did not need such things. Or if they did, they were hiding them from sight very well.

His thoughts on the matter faded when they entered the quarters that would apparently host them. It was an exquisite suite, easily over fifty percent larger than the Admiral’s own. Admiral Stone blinked, glancing upwards to the high ceiling for a moment before glancing towards the vice-admiral. “Thank you for your offer, and I assure you I have no doubt that I will.” He paused for a moment, shaking his head as he moved within the room and moved to take a seat after the one that had been picked for him was identified. No, he would not miss this.

"The Hajr must suspect foreign agents by now."

"they would be fools not too."

"How do we proceed?"

"We do nothing, just watch. No more attacks until this dies down."

"What about the rental car?"

"Flash stole it from a civillian the day of the attack, It won't lead back to us."

"What about our information?"

"I slipped it on to one of Victor's cargo shipments. The Director probably has it by now"

"It isn't much, he won't be pleased."

"We did what we could"

"We need to move carefully now. Sprint, did you get another sniper rifle?"

"Yes, and there's nothing that can trace it to us."

"Our next attack will be another sniping, but we won't proceed for at least a week."

The three spoke as one

"Agreed"

Fast destroyer Scourge of Foolishness
Ix'agal system
Former Covenant of God

Hekrit stood in the ships hanger, resplendant in his silver uniform, on either side of him stood a Tersinin fighting machine, and to the side of either of them stood two Montezuman auxiliaries, the ships security staff (made up of both auxiliaries and Jekin) lined the walls. Behind him a rather worn Confederate flag was being hurriedly put up, this was a first contact with an alien power, and he was going to make the best impression possible with the resources available.

He looked over at the auxiliaries, by the stars, why did they have to be so big?. He knew they were subservient, but that didn't make them any less intimidating. The auxiliary bared his teeth, and smiled somewhat maliciously when the captain flinched.
Hekrit scratched his arms and stomach nervously, as it dawned on him that he would soon have to talk with a human who had absolutely no reason to fear him. He watched the incoming shuttle with no small amount of dread.

The shuttle landed. A squad of powered armored Marines stepped off making a line in front of it. Rifles pointing down at the deck. The Commodore stepped off in formal black uniform. Stepping on the ship he saluted the Captain.

Unoccupied Former Covenant World

The camera man turned from taping the groups of kids putting up posters on the wall when he heard the shouts from thr crowds to his side. Above him and the crowd surrounding him the cleric who ran this section of the small continent, one of four other clerics controlling teritory on the continent, put his hands up for silence from the jubilant crowd. Finally he started speaking, his voice resonating around the large courtyard from the balcony above, no doubt aided by electronics.

"My friends! The celebration has gone on too long! The Arcanist devils are gone, yes, but their allies come here to take their wretched place. They wish to subjugate you, keep you from worship, and force you from the holy path, we cannot let this be! However the Gods have provided an answer through this chaos. The Demonists had but one purpose, to destroy all that is holy. They have tried to destroy us, they have tried to destroy the gods, and they tried to destroy the galaxy! But we have stood up to them, and we have thrown them off, but we cannot keep doing this alone. There are too many of them and there are too few of the holy, thus we need an ally and the Gods have shown the way.
"What else have the Arcanists tried to destroy, and failed? EARTH! Who has withstood them and destroyed them and their unholiness in turn? MONACORA! The Gods have smiled on Monacora like they smilled on us, they have shown us that they, Monacora, walk the holy and golden path and they have shown us how to withstand the enemies of the Gods forever. We need Monacora here, we need them here now, to save us from the demons from other worlds and to help us the right path! WE NEED MONACORA!"

The Camera man looked around as the crowd took up the chant, a memorable one in their language. He turned and walked slowly back to his guards, also caught up in the Euphoria. Ten minutes later, with his recording sent to the company's headquarters, he later learned that other places on the planet, including one of the other clerics on this small shit-hole of a continent, had held similar rallies. Monacora had remained silent so far, its possible reaction impossible to read.

Hekrit suppressed a gulp, the Montezumans were regarding the Protectorate marines with nothing short of awe.

Hekrit tapped the microphone in the side of his mouth to make sure it was functioning properly (he didn't want to embarress himself by being too quiet to be heard). "Permission granted Commodore, welcome to the Scourge of Foolishness".

Commodore Williams looked at the alien. So small, he had thought that an intellgent specis would have to be a little bigger... No matter.

He looked over slowly at the other humans at the wall. The humans stared back at him has if he was Buddah himself. He filed that information in his mind for a later date.

Al-Quadim System, verdandi

"I hope you enjoed the meal. We thought a broad spectrum of Gladsheim food would be best. Now let's move over to a more comfortable location," she chuckled and stood up.
She walked in the next room with a low table and plush couches around them. Coffee was waiting there for them.
"I don't know, but this", she pointed to the coffee, "is one of the only things we have from our original, eh, crash into our home system. FUnny that the planet it originated from is now destroyed..." she was silent for a few seconds. "Anyway, Admiral," she smiled again, "I hope you weren't too shocked by my relayed request. We are positive your government will at least think about it. It just is the cost-efficient way. And we won't even be taking each other's real estate for settling."
Before the Admiral could answer, she shot off another question. It was really a pity that the Veithans weren't Datanet-capable. Streamlining multitasked thought processes into a real, vocal chat was less then perfect.
"By the way, would you be interested in a small fleet maneuvre, here in the system? Before our crew's start rusting..." she chuckled.

Veithan Space
Ashara System, Ashara III

The developments within the Covenant of God occupation were of some interest to the Veithan Empire. Firstly, scattered throughout the worlds were a handful of various news reporters. As these were Veithan citizens it was in the interest of the Empire to keep an eye out on the situation. The truth was of course; that the occupation had little to do with Veitha as a whole, and that some members of the administration were rather interested in how the U.P and Nashtar republic handled their widened responsibilities. The retreat of the arcane empire had certainly not done the occupation any good, and it seemed that now things were heating up.

One of the greatest mysteries of the occupation had been what happened to the ground forces of the Covenant of God. The arcane empire led coalition had taken over the planets with remarkable ease, and arcane wizardry only could account for so much. It now appeared that some of the ground elements were being involved, which should make matters quite interesting. The empire suspected that there was foreign aid involved, but pinpointing the source of the aid was difficult. It was not as if the Nashtar and U.P forces had gone out of their way rooting out the opposition. At least if they did, they had kept the actions to themselves. If that was the case, then the occupying forces had missed a public relations gift, and were now stuck with keeping the lid on what appeared too many analysts as being a volcano about to erupt.

There was little doubt that the occupying forces were considerable, although when considering that they would have to hold entire worlds, the situation became a bit more difficult. There was no doubt that the Nashtar and U.P forces were well trained and equipped, the doubts arose from their leadership and if they were willing to do what it would take to force order in the angered worlds. There was little doubt that the occupying forces could cause a positive casualty rate on the Covenant militia. The problem was of course, that after a certain point this would start swaying any moderate members of the covenant that had existed in the first place. It had been this assessment that had kept the Veitha out of the war against the Covenant. Without a navy, the Covenant was by and large not a threat to the galaxy. It had been part of the reason why the government of the empire had been both irritated and amused at the occupation; Irritation because the arcane empire had never hinted at that goal, and amusement because they could see what they had not.

The planet was home to one of the largest ground force bases in the empire, and a significant amount of the ground force officers and elements were keeping a close eye on the events occurring in CoG space. Data which arrived from VNN reports and other newscasts in the region were plugged into virtual games, as Veithan officers led virtual forces against the CoG rebels and occupying forces. It was good practice, and helped keep Veithan forces current with the tactics and ideologies of possible adversaries as well as competitors. The office of the commander of 677th armored division was comfortable, dominated by the usual military decorations and holding within two officers. Their thoughts exchanged from one to another as they considered various events.

Gen: ~The situation in the CoG should prove to be intensifying as of late, any thoughts on the possibilities why Colonel?~
Col: ~The occupation forces missed an opportunity, and to be fair the betrayal of the arcane empire did not help matters any. The burden is now shared by the Nashtar and U.P and while their military forces are capable, their leadership seems to be hesitating.~
Gen: ~Agreed, what about the reports that new forces have joined the occupation of various worlds?~
Col: ~It is probably the new member of the alliance that the rumors talk about. There is not enough information about them to offer an educated guess at this point.~
Gen: ~Your thoughts on how this will end?~
Col: ~personally, I think that the occupation forces will have a difficult time for a while, but unless something major happens they should prevail. The CoG ground forces are not what I would call state-of-the-art and hate can only get you so much. They will bleed the occupiers, but if they inflict enough casualties they should prevail. Our estimates indicate that the CoG militia is going to be butchered by the professional armies of the U.P and Nashtar. However, the claims of external assistance have to be considered. If there are external terrorists, and our data suggests that there is some presence in the CoG worlds then the exchange rate in that regard is unknown. I would imagine that these foreign operatives are highly trained and skilled.~
Gen: ~I see. So it is your estimation that as of this time the occupation forces will still prevail. I am inclined to agree with that assessment, although if the occupation forces do too much damage to the infrastructure and people of the CoG held worlds, the situation may become even more difficult for them in the future. It is certainly a situation I am thankful I am not in, although I like to think that we would have handled it a bit better.~
Col: ~I like to think so as well general. Our simulations are coming along nicely, although naturally they are not one hundred percent accurate representations of the situations on the ground. Nonetheless, we have plugged all the information possible into the computers. The final results should be more or less applicable to the real situation on the ground.~
Gen: ~Excellent. I look forward to the final results. Until then, this meeting is over.~
Col: ~yes, sir.~
