You mean the skinny dude with glasses who goes "oh dear" and "oh my" a lot? He was featured in last year's E3 HL2 movie.
I still see a posibility for Barney. Sure he plays some roles in the game. But they might set it up so you basicaly do the same thing, then seperate from Gordon for whatever reason they used in HL2 and go do your own thing.
Hm, could be. The more interaction there is with Gordon though, the more possibilities there are for overlapping issues.
Well for whatever reason Gamespy specified the shotgun.
Interesting...jetpack, maybe? ;)

You thinking of the guy that you meet with Alex? Thats Dr. Kleiner. Rosenberg was the scientist that Barney resuced and assisted in escaping from Black Mesa.

Not exactly a bad thing. We play the game itself differently every time. I managed to get a gun and blast Barney in the original Half-Life. These overlaps might have some differences, but being able to overlap itself would be cool.
Interesting...jetpack, maybe? ;)
Now that would be bloody cool.

Fair enough. I've long since been forced to delete those massive files from my system, so I can't easily go back and check.

You can always check the titles of the movies, right on steampowered.com.

Oh, yes, because heaven forbid I should mix up the names of the scientists and not remember them exactly. That could just be the most terrible thing in the world. Maybe it will even cause Gabe Newell to delay HL2 because I have personally slighted him in this.

Please, please, forgive me for not absolutely memorizing the names each and every character that got speaking time at any point in the Half Life games. I suppose now you'll demand to know the name of the Guard in Blue Shift that was hiding out in the rafters with a flashlight.

Jesus, it's like you read my post and saw "OMG STFU ALYESKA, ROSENBERG WAS IN LAST YEAR'S MOVIE U DUMASS!!" instead of what I actually wrote, where I was clearly uncertain as to who Alyeska was referring to.

But, yes, thank you for your ever so helpful input. I was unaware of the existance of steampowered.com, much less the fact that they had titles for all the movies in question. I'm sure that in my spare time, you know, the time I won't be spending downloading any of them, I'll be certain to commit all of their titles to memory, as well as painstakingly waiting for the release of any new tidbits of information for hours of each and every day until HL2 is released, and lash out at anyone not as devoted as me for extremely petty bits of trivia.

Yikes! Let's keep it civil here, guys! In order to placate you, here's another fun shot from the hl1 port:

Fun with the Crossbow
どうして?お前が夜に自身お触れるから。
Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape-shifting Master of Darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil,
but a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me. Before the final blow
was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my evil is law! Now, the fool
seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is Aku...

Yup, and last names, too. Walter Bennett, Einstein Lundeen, Luther Backman, and Slick Guthrie.

Speaking of which, I believe in HL1 if you looked around at the lockers at the beginning of the game, you'll see the names of a few of the developers on the lockers. :)

Yet is still a piece of shit.
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

There is no editor for HL that is above a piece of shit.

(Going back to Shepard, and theories about a possible appearance)

I've always thought it'd be particularly cool if the G-man was holding Shepard in reserve as a sort of anti-Freeman backup plan, in case Freeman gets to be too dangerous. I think Shepard vs. Freeman would make an interesting story for an expansion...

If that's your definition, then show me a FPS level editor that's NOT a POS.
