Bowden actually allocates a page or so discussing how the Rangers all got the typical cut, but the "D-boys" got to dress civilian and have civilian haircuts.

You have it the wrong way around, US Army Rangers have pretty much the strictest requirements/tradition of short hair in the US military.

I think that's what Striderteen meant; salvos were fired but a hit was always fatal.

I haven[t watched the movie zet, haven[t gotten around to it. I read the book online though. Prettz gruesome. The guz who gets the RPG through him was called Alphabet bz everzone becasue thez couldn[t pronounce his name. Prettz sad....I think I maz have cried while reading it.
