I admit, I am a little clumsy, as when I go to check my posts after logging in, I accidentally click on the "Login/Logout" button.
Can an option be added to the login screen, to resume a previous session? I.e. I log in on day X, then later pop in on day X+3. I accientally logout again. I decide to relogin, and check the box next to the option. The board treats the new tags as though my last login was day X, not day X+3.
This is also useful for epople who view the board at work, and have to close out the window every now and then. By continuing the session, they can go dierctly to the posts that they haven't read yet without hunting through all the threads.

No. I don't think such a mod exists.
I can't think of a way to avoid clikcing the login/logout button, as I never ever go near that button. Maybe if you chaneg themes it won't happen.
If you use Mozilla, then you can close the tab or even the navigator window without logging out as log as the mail wondow stays open.
Or you could actually read dates and last posters to know if you've read it or not.
