At present, I'm looking for a good diagram of how a Christie suspension works (to clarify, the suspension used by Soviet tanks such as the T-34)
Any of you got one, or a good explanation? I've been looking, but I haven't found anything.

Keeping it simple again, a torsion bar provides suspension by twisting, whereas a spring does it with compression.
This diagram shows an older form of torsion bar suspension found on Chrysler products of the 60's and 70's:
Torsion bars more usually twist parralel the plane of movement, instead of 90 degrees to it as shown above.
