Homer and Lisa.
I love the relationship between Homer and Lisa, one of the best parts of The Simpsons. You have Homer, the classic oaf, dumbnuts, and idiot and you have Lisa, arrogant, different, and incredibly smart. Yet there is an incredible, pretty touching, connection between father and daughter. While Homer continuously screws things up, he always means well and Lisa is smart enough to know that and loves her daddy dearly.
Eh, sorry for the sentimentality. It's approaching finals and I'm watching a lot of Simpsons due to the lack of anything better to do

I've always liked the Lisa-Homer relationship. Most of Homer's unselfish acts probably have something to do with her.

You mean "A Veggie Back Ride"TrailerParkJawa wrote:The Simpsons has evolved over the years and underneath all the trouble there is a family that loves each other. The Homer-Lisa relationship shows this. I really liked the episode where Homer gives Lisa a piggy back ride at the end while music plays.

SOme highlights:
The episode where Lisa had the substitute teacher (played by Dustin Hoffman).
The episode Homer and Lisa doing a "father-daughter work week" and they were fooling around in the plant. At least, I think it was a 'work week' thing, Lisa might have been sick. Or it could have been holidays. It's been awhile since I saw it (Bart goes on a roadtrip, so I'm thinking it's holidays).
The episode where Lisa gets lost on the way to the museum, because stupid Marge couldn't be arsed taking her there. Homer comes to the rescue, predictably by causing lots of damage. They break into the museum after hours, and hear an ancient egyptian music-box. Homer forgets the tune within a minute of listening to it.

Actually, Marge couldn't take her becuase Bart had glued a faucet to his forehead and a fake toucan beak to his nose and had to go to the hospital.
