Linkage

They're making five more episodes, but these will be longer.

Good. A couple of minutes is too damned short.

... will continue the saga with five new expanded chapters beginning March 21, 2005
God Damn that almost a fucking year from now!
Well it gives them time to make use-/full length chapters I guess. :)

I freventy hope they do make longer chapters then the 3min+infomercial crap setup. (I include last chapter reruns ... eh reviews in the latter)
Man, that was annoying.

She survived that fall?!
Well considering what the jedi did in other episodes i shouldn't be surprised.
But where does it say she survived? Link?

It's cool that the new chapters of the Clone Wars ties in directly with Episode III. I hope that Cartoon Network Sweden airs the new chapters with the original voices and not dubbed to Swedish as they did with the first two seasons.

She survived that fall?!
Yep, and according to the CW-timeline she fought against the Jedi again and again, serving as one of Dooku´s commanders.

I hope we get to see her ultimately defeated and killed in the new season.

Probably not, seeing as this season takes off where the last one left off (3 months after Geonosis), and Asajj Ventress has been confirmed to be alive 30 months after the Battle of Geonosis.

It´s possible the five episodes will take place at different times during the wars, starting straight after ep. 20 and ending just before Ep. III.

Clone wars was a good cartoon. The story was fairly good for a 3 minute cartoon. Combat was done very well. We saw how powerful the Jedi really are. After AOTC arena battle it seemed that the Jedi were not that powerful. But Clone Wars showed their true strength just like TPM where two Jedi on a Trade Federation battleship was an incredible threat.

I disagree. I felt that Clone Wars overall was an extremely ugly little cartoon whose episodes were too short with poor pacing, and generally was quite disappointing.

Heh. Spanky, you have what is referred to as a 'negative personality.' ;)

I agree with your assessment anyway. Clone Wars cartoons were shit, pure and simple. If it had been a purpose-designed miniseries with a couple half-hour episodes, or one or two hour-long episodes I could have stomached it. As it happens, 3 mins (5 mins, yeah, right  +1 for misleading advertising) is way too short for a fucking narrative. The ironic thing is, the purpose-designed length would fit if it were shown more than once a day. But no, Cartoon Network only showed it once or at most twice a day. Fuck that.

Yeah this was a rant, but who cares?

I can't see how you peopled enjoyed that steaming pile crap! It was god awful, I don't know how Lucas could just let Cartoon Network butcher Star Wars like that.

By making Episode III contradict almost everything in it so it isn't canon!

You are aware that George Lucas helped write it and was the executive producer, right? It's not like he didn't have a finger in this project.

Exhaustion. He was getting tired of butchering it himself and needed help?

I didn't see what butchering was going on. It may have not been visually stunning, and had about three retarded episodes, but all in all I found it quite entertaining. ARC Trooper episodes get the most points (with the exception of the whole power lance thing).

Clone wars would have been much better if it was a full length cartoon. For a three minute cartoon it was ok. The art could also have been better. I would have preffered Titan AE like cell animation or anime style animation.

Titan AE´s designs didn´t impress me at all, sadly. That movie was a fuckin trainwreck. :x

Overall I do like the CW-series, but I was close to quitting when I saw Asajj Ventress´ überwank powers in ep. 6 (and every other episode she was in). It´s the kind of fanboy-jerkoff bullshit I want SW to avoid. Not to mention Ventress´ "scary" voice. *shudder*

Fortunately, Christopher L... I mean, Count Dooku was there to kick her ass and teach her some respect, that made me go on.

I'll drink to that. Unfortunately, I think SW has been there for a while now.
