Vader says "NO, I am your father" not "Luke, I am your father." Watch Empire and you will hear the correct line.

Thanks for the corrections on "No Luke, *I* am your father." I knew I didn't remember that one right.

The "It's a trap!" line is Ackbar's. My heart was pounding as the Rebels started heading for the DS2...a better line might've been Lando's when he said, "How can they be jamming us when they don't know...if we're coming?" I had no idea how the Rebels were going to get out of that one.

What about the scene where Leia tells Han that she is Luke's sister? You can see the relief in Han's face clearly. :)

YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S WRONG. I watched "Empire" and checked for the exact line. And guess what, Vader says " No. I am your father." NOWHERE DOES HE SAY LUKE'S NAME. AND IF YOU STILL THINK I'M WRONG THEN WATCH A COPY OF "EMPIRE" FOR YOURSELF AND YOU WILL HEAR THE CORRECT LINE FOR YOURSELF!!!

I'd probably say "Luke, I am your father." Nobody knew when it first played, there wasn't an internet to distribute spoilers. I wasn't alive when TESB came out, but I imagine the audience must have been shocked.

Lol. I constantly get pissed when people add the "Luke." Surprising how many die-hard SW fans don't even know the damn scene they say is their favorite.

Anyways, my favorite:

"I am a Jedi, like my father before me."

It's even better now that the prequels give it perspective.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

I guarantee we'll see a new amazingly dramatic moment in Episode Three that matches "I am your father." But for now, "I am am your father" takes it.

The moment in the swamp—

Post by Patrick Degan »

—when Yoda lifts Luke's X-wing out of the bog, moves it toward the shore, and gently sets it down in front of the astonished acolyte.

"I don't believe it!"

"That is why you fail."

In my view, the best demonstration of the Force in any of the movies.

Carrie Fisher is supoded to have threw a a wobblem over Harrison saying "I Know". but it suited the solo cockyness better.
My favourite scene was the final lightsaber battle between Vader and Luke

"So be it...Jedi."

"That's not a moon. That's a space station."

"Fire at will!"
"WHAT?"
"Dantooine is far too remote for a proper demonstration. I assure you, we will deal with your Rebel friends soon enough."
*BOOOOOOOM*

That moment in TESB when the Rebels are getting into the trenches...and the music swells, then the percussion starts banging out the Imperial March, and the walkers rise on the horizon.

BTW, what's the big deal with Greedo shooting first? So Greedo fired a warning shot and Han took offense. Big deal.

You have got to be kidding!

That was no "warning shot" Greedo fired in the SE. It was just plain stupid. Lucas felt he had to go out of his way to demonstrate that Han was a thoroughgoing good guy, with no shades of grey to him —which includes never shooting first at a villain.

I give George Lucas credit for a lot of things. But he has had the very unfortunate tendency to try to make his creation more kid-accessible. The same decision process which polluted the SW universe with the Ewoks and Max Rebo in the first place.

If Greedo is an experienced bounty hunter, the last thing he's going to do is waste a blaster shot just firing a warning —especially with a killer at the other end of the table and you can't see his hands or his blaster. The second unbelieveable thing is that Greedo would miss from that range.

The whole thing was simply stupid, no matter how you look at it.

This moment is even stronger now that there are five movies, and I think will only be strengthened even more after Ep III comes out.
