I think I'd rather see a Band of Brothers-type show more than a Boba Fett-centered one, but if it is done very gritty...it could be good.

EDIT: ALSO....if the music is orchestrated by John Williams....wow that would rock.

I'm sick of hearing about the main characters in the movies. Can we just see something about ordinary people in the Star Wars galaxy? Or maybe the people who aren't the major heroes and villains? That's what I liked about the Rogue Squadron series. One small movie character: Wedge Antilles. And that was it. Everyone else was a new character. It's too bad that Corran Horn eventually turned into Stackpole's own little Mary Sue.

I also think it'd be great to let Joss Whedon do a Star Wars series. It'd be a pseudo-resurrection of Firefly, but he could do it with a better budget and a virtual guarantee not to get fucked up the ass like he did with Firefly.

What would rock would be a series about an entire crew of Wookies in some big ship, without any protocol droids or subtitles.

I think you guys are taking the Boba Fett thing farther than it actually is. Re-read:
AICN wrote:Playing one of the series' villans we love to hate is none other than... wait for it... Boba Fett! Expect young Boba (but not nearly as young as in Ep. 2) to feature in the series significantly.
It doesn't say it's about Boba Fett -- it says he features prominently as a villain in the series. A villain. One of several.

I, for one, will look forward to it and watch it steadfastly unless it fails to entertain me.

Yup, and villain in a series would indicate that we are following a group that he is contracted to catch/whatnot (disintegrations anyone? 8) ), not following him per se, even in those episodes where he is featured.

Kind of like TESB: Fett is after one of the good guys (ok, Han is not exactly a good guy, but anyway). We don't get a deep insight into Fett the person there either, we see only Fett the hunter. This is likely to be the same for most of the series also, unless there is a subplot/episode where the heros try to turn the tables and hunt Fett of course.

I'm going to watch it if it is possible to do so this side of the Atlantic ... buying the video releases if not is less sure, and would depend on the rewiews the discerning fans on this site, not the critics, give it.

But, Han is too a good guy! Didn't you see Greedo shoot first??!!11!oneone

a series that doesn't feature the usual heroes will need some sort of 'star' recognition to firmly anchor it in the SWverse. I just hope it isn't too wank-tastic.

Also, what network would it be on? Or Cable? I'd be more interested in a series that comes from HBO than, say, some watered-down baby food cranked out of a general-issue network that is afraid to take any real risk.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
