The Marine uniform looks kind of like the WW2 German "blood oak" or "lynx pelt" designs, only using pixels instead of dots to break up the body outline.

The velcro is bad, but the zipper is worse! Lets see, it might freeze, might get sand in it, and it also makes another loud sound for the enemy to hear. I think wearing a white uniform with big, red targets on it will conceal soldiers better.

But seriously, the current uniform works, for fuck's sake. I dont know why our leaders need to change every damn thing possible. After this, they'll give us a laser gun to match our cool uniforms, and give the Airborne gravity-nullifying fields instead of chutes.. Oh! Maybe they'll grow a few brain cells and just fucking adopt the Marine BDU's. Minus the Eagle, Globe and Anchor.

They'll probably be the last to get it, so you might be waiting a while for these new uniforms to hit ROTC units.

1 - That's what pockets are for.

2 - They are a mix of light green, tan, and grey. Which will allow soldiers to blend into urban, desert, and forest enviroments.

3 - Drugs have been illegal for some time in the military.

Answer: Yes. There is no reason velcro should be on any battle dress uniform. The velcro will work especially well when mud gets all over it.

Answer: It wont. As you can tell with the picture provided, it dosnt blend into the forest background at all, and it looks almost white from not even a few feet away.

Answer: Sometimes it would seem so.
