Yahoo offers 100Mb for each free account

Post by Comosicus »

I opened my yahoo account this evening only to have the surprise of seeing that they offer 100Mb of space for each account. Seems that the example of Google has made some waves.

I noticed that too. Now you can attach 10 Meg files as well.

I hate. Now I have to put up with the abomination known as webmail, since the webmail->mbox script I use is now broken. Anyway, thanks for pointing this out... I've been wondering why no mail has come in today.

Looks like I eventually have to change my email to jhnphm at broken-llama.com or something along those lines... f*ck.

I didn't notice earlier, but I like their new way of showing mail information.

With Junk now not counting to the mailbox, theres no chance we can fill 100MB :P

I'm really surprised at how much free e-mail is changing. Six months ago we had to struggle with 5 mb of storage. Suddenly GMail Comes along and announces it will have 1 gb of storage. And now Yahoo mail, which had a storage limit of 5 mb last week, now has 100 mb today.

I like this change.

they gave me a 100mb on apr 1 - I was sure it was a joke.

they said they were testing if people liked it.

I guess they did.

I hate the new colors, tho.

Hotmail offers only 5 MB. This is way better.

How often does it fill up though?

I leave mine for weeks before it even hit 80%.

Activated the e-mail function on my Yahoo ID and worked a little magic to transfer most of my Hotmail mail (roughly 75% of the 2 meg max) over to it. Roomy. Getting a lot of server timeouts while using the interface, though. :(
Later...

When you sign up at hotmail, you get two mb free. You have to pay for the 5 mb.

Whew, and I was thinking I was losing out, I use hotmail as a FWD box, so when I go on vacation I can still acess SDN emails.

BTW, whens Gmail coming out? the day google goes public? :P

P.S Yahoo is SLOW ASS this week.
