SBC Defeats Motion to Boycott Public Schools

This is a followup on the thread I started in HoS concerning the push in the Southern Baptist Council to pull children out of public schools. Their convention has defeated the motion, I don't know by how large of a margin. I don't have a link as yet; this only just came up on NPR. Whether you think this is a good or bad thing depends on whether you're more concerned with the kids getting a real education or with having to put up with said fundie kids, I suppose.

I wonder what the supporters are going to say about the rejection of their proposal. After they accuse the council of being godless advocates of the gay agenda, of course.

Probably the sheep will just go along with it mindlessly as always, the far-right nuts will rant and rave about how godless the Southern Baptists have become (they after all have already pulled their kids out of school), and the people with enough sense to say "this is all silly" will be excommunicated. Business as usual.

DAMN! Why won't they curl up in their own bigotries and self destruct? Why aren't they self-destructive? WHY?

The people with enough sense to say "This is all silly" have probably already gone off to join the Methodists. We see a lot of that.
