This started happening after I played a game of DoD over Steam.
As soon as I load Firefox, it crashes. Happens to .8 and .9, as I tried upgrading to solve the problem. Restarts aren't helping.
The error is coming from msvcrt.dll, I guess.
I just deleted and reinstalled. Isn't making a difference.

Install the library update as per the guide, and it will either overwrite the duff file with a good one, or update it to one that works for this program
It may help with newer OSes, but the KB says it's for the oldies, (not necessarily a reliable guide, issues toend to stick around long after MS say they've died)
