Does it count if you like them when they cause really funny scenes? I know a guy who got kicked out of the college dining hall for marching through it playing his bagpipes. He afterwards decided to run about playing them all around the freshmen dorms. It was hilarious.

What's the name of that bagpipe song that's in like every movie with bagpipes? Monty's army is playing it in Patton when they're marching through Palermo and they get drowned out by Patton's band.

I like any music that is played the right way. By the way, that story
about the gu running through his dorm playing bagpipes was classic.
Wish I had seen that! :D

Bagpipes are annoying.

And although this is OT, I find it a bit odd that a reshirt with 5 posts and a swimsuit model avatar starts off hi SD.net experience by asking about bagpipes. We pull an interesting crowd....

No. I used to play the tin-whistle though. Then people started complaining that I was making their ears bleed, so I had to stop. :(

PS: Is it just because I'm not actually around here much that someone hasn't busted my arse big-time for spamming? :?

I love the bagpipes, although I have no capacity for music whatsoever.

I'm a bad example though, because I like almost all music with the exception of:

Country Western
Contemporary Christian
50s and 60s era Doo Wop shit
80s Soft Rock
The Hamster Dance

That's about it. I can jam out to jungle drums. I must say I prefer my music really new or really old (like Renaissance old).

Maybe the Scotland March? I'm not sure at all though.

I quite like bagpipes, when played well. There are, however, few things worse than bagpipes being played badly. There used to be a busker who did that out the front of the treasury casino in Brisbane. People used to give him money to stop.

For some reason I thought this was going to be a rant about Daniel Pipes...

I intend to learn several types of pipes in my lifetime, including hummelchen, Northumbrian, and Flemmish.

But do you like the Satanic Hamster Dance?

To stay on topic, bagpipes tend to bother me. Probably just becuase I have a very Irish principal at my school, and on St. Patrick's day he gets a bagpipe player, and all the younger kids go nuts. It's annoying as hell.

I love the pipes, and being in the SCA, I get to hear them very often.

Hey, shes not a swimsuit model! Shes a pin up girl. Get it straight. And I was originally going to ask about morning sex, but somehow it turned into that :p Probably because I was listening to my Rogues CD (*drools* men in kilts playing bagpipes... I definetly want to have their babies... or just hump their legs, that would work too)
Yay.

Probably "Scotland the Brave".
Midi file that hasn't had a lot of work put into it.

Yeah, Scotland the Brave is just about the most overplayed pipe tune ever... So its got the highest chance of being the one you were thinking of. :p

Where do you live Namarie? I just saw the Rogues live at Scarbrough Fair. Got an autographed CD and talked to them for awhile.
