Fix it utilities help

Is fix-it utilities any good? I bought it, and before I open it (cause I know I can't take it back) I want to know what you guys thinka bout it.

Never heard of it. What does it do?

I use AVG- free antivirus.

I had norton on my other computer, but it expired after a year (jerks!) and now pesters me constantly telling me to buy it again, worse than spyware.

2. Optimizes system performance
3. Diagnoses problems with hardware
4. Detects hard drive failure/problems early
5. Recovers lost data
6. Bootable rescue CD
