Terrorists Behead U.S. Hostage in Saudi Arabia
Sudden power is apt to be insolent, sudden liberty saucy; that behaves best which has grown gradually.

They are unquestionably both. If they hadn't been so damn savage they would have been a bad joke.PeZook wrote:They demanded all westerners leave Saudi Arabia in 72 hours.
They're either fools or never had any intention to let the guy live anyway.

The poor guy was dead the moment he was kidnapped. I just wonder how many more people are going to be abducted and killed.

After checking the CNN article it appears they were after prisoner release AND removal of all "westerners".

This video's apparently even more graphic than the Berg one. I heard they shoved a knife through the eye of the guy's head after it was cut off.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

I hope we find these people and kill them. Then I hope someone has the guts to be so immoral as to hunt down their friends and family and wipe them out. In fact I want their entire bloodline going back 4 generations wiped off the face of the earth.
Horrible, yes. Immoral, certainly. Justice? More than vengeance even.
But it would certainly be a better incentive for terrorists to stop what they are doing. Their own family members who want their children to live would turn against them. And we might remove a few genetic problems from the pool.
Hell, i would settle for just demolishing the city of Medina (without killing anyone) for this, followed by Mecca if there is any more terrorist action. Show them that their god does not support their actions.

I see your reasoning behind this, but unfortunately a more likely outcome would be to inflame world opinion against us (Even more, but what do we care, right? Thanks, Shrubby), and to unite the muslims the world over. What we would have then would best be described as armageddon.Bob the Gunslinger wrote:I hope we find these people and kill them. Whoa there, man! I know you were running on high emotion for that!
Meh...Hard to say I disagree with you there, but it goes against the U.S.'s precarious position atop the moral high ground. But it would certainly be a better incentive for terrorists to stop what they are doing. Well, not so much armageddon as we would have to cleanse the earth of all muslims, most notably with the utilization of many Minuteman III's, lest we, ourselves be obliterated. JIHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD LULULULULUULULULULUULULUULULUULU!!!!!!!
Then again...they may simply regard this as peace loving christians would...as merely a test of their faith. (<---roll not for you, but for fundies as a whole)

I don't mean for the US to do it or even any other government. Just some pro-western nuts or terrorist cells focused on terrorizing the terrorists. I was emotional and just saying something like "it would be nice if there existed such an immoral person who was motivated to.. etc."
Then we'd be just as free politically and legally as the Saudis and the Syrians and the Iranians. more so, as we are not actively preaching violence and hatred on quite as large of a scale.

This proves you can't win a war by shooting marshmellows. The stupid moral high ground is useless. It accomplishes nothing.
Being nice, civil, and respectful is not helping. If you give them that, they will take it as a sign of pussification and trample all over you like a persian rug. This is why they make these ludicrous demands. They know you won't give in, and they know you won't leave, and they know you really can't do anything to them or you would stoop down to their level.

(CNN) -- Saudi security forces killed a top al Qaeda leader in the kingdom shortly after the decapitated body of American hostage Paul Johnson Jr. was left in a remote area of Riyadh, security sources said.

ABC was saying this morning that many Saudi clerics denounced this kidnapping from day 1 as being very un-Islamic.
Speaking out against these bloodthirsty pig-fuckers is more than I would have expected even a few months ago. Wonder if Saudi actions against AQ in the past week or so hints at some change going on in the upper echelons of KSA's government?

You're being a religious bigot. Islam is a religion of peace, even though the Qur'an would have any reasonable person conclude otherwise.Wicked Pilot wrote:Pieces you mean.Durandal wrote:More peace from the religion of peace, I see.

They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
