Still, later on itnto the war there were tremendous restrcitions on what targets in the north could be attacked. Most cities went completely untouched. Then Nixon took over, bombed the shit out of northern cities and even invaded Cambodia and Laos to chase down Viet Cong.

It's so touchy an issue because so many ignorant people bitterly critical of the Vietnam War atempt to make it out as an American attempt to stamp poor little North Vietnam needlessly under Uncle Sam's boot.

We made many mistakes and killed many innocent people in Vietnam, but we never fired the first shot.
