Check out this dipshit, and watch how I try over and over to get her to make a real argument:

Comments: I noticed that you don't provide links to reputable creation science sites. How very limiting. I am sure a man of high esteme such as yourself would not do this intentionally. I am providing a few of my favorites for your perusal.
There is no such thing as a reputable creation science site. Not one "creation science site" even bothers to observe the elementary scientific method, and many of them employ not only charlatans with questionable credentials, but gross misrepresentations of fact.
I've seen them. Not one of them uses anything remotely resembling the scientific method. Once you eliminate lies and logical fallacies of syllogism and apply Occam's Razor, there's nothing left in ANY of those sites. If you can find something logical and objective in those sites, then by all means, make sure it is not already addressed on my site, and
then E-mail it to me. Otherwise, don't waste my time.
Later that night:
Jennifer Henesey wrote:Thank you , you just proved my point to my 15 year old son. I was able to tell him how you would respond almost word for word. I will now put this with the rest of the junk mail I receive.
In other words, you cannot produce a single piece of logical and objective information from the websites you mentioned (a rather simple request), so you respond with empty rhetoric instead.

Typical creationist; you cite websites as evidence and then immediately balk and hurl sophistry when asked to actually provide and defend arguments on your own.
Notice how she tries to pretend that if I don't acknowledge the bullshit on those sites as "serious science", then I must be dishonest. I like the way it obviously doesn't even occur to her that it might not be serious science.

October 24, 2002:
Jennifer Henesey wrote:>Every article on your site can be refuted via the professional essays on the site I sent you.
Then by all means, do so.
I too have studies both sides of the issues and determined that there is more evidence for creation than evolution. If you had a specific article that you disagreed with instead of just saying it's all false, I might have responded to your inqueries in a more indepth manner.
I have written many lengthy articles for your perusal. You have written nothing except for "look at these authorities". Do not pretend that I have some obligation to do more work before you will do me the courtesy of writing a legitimate argument.
However from what I saw on your website you appear
very bitter and I have no desire to end up in a flame war. I told my son that you would not post the mainstream creation links which have information from scientists in many different fields. There is too much information there which defies your point of view.
Like what?
Instead you choose to post the most off the wall obscure sites. Instead you would rather belittle and besmirch Christians. That doesn't show a whole lot of integrity. My son is quite able to make credible choices and is a strong minded individual. He was not swayed in the least by your site but was discourage that you were leading so many young people astray.
Based on his scientific aptitude, or your indoctrination?
I gave him the tools to debate with his friends and he is now confident that he can communicate his knowledge more effectively. As a homeschooler, I have had to be very aware of the information that I choose to teach my children. I know the value of knowledge and have taught my children BOTH sides of the issues.
Then perhaps you could demonstrate these skills for him by debating with me LOGICALLY, instead of lazily appealing to authority and expecting your opponent to do all of the work for you. If you have a gripe with my site's arguments, then make it. But what I see is the "ad hominem" fallacy (focus on the man, not the argument). I could just as easily emulate your techniques and rattle off lists of textbooks, expecting you to refute them for me. This is not rational debating, and you are not setting a good example for your son.
October 24, 2002:
Jennifer Henesey wrote:You still haven't pointed out any specific area with which to make an argument. Neither of us is a scientist so lets not start proclaiming to be an authority.
This is not about authority. It is about your ability to make a legitimate point, which seems to be nonexistent.
This argument is going no where. You are set in your
opinion and I am set in mine. You have not stated a specific issue which to debate and I don't have the time to go through each and every article on your site and debate them all.
Then pick one at random. You have stated that every one of my arguments is easily refuted. The onus is on you to back up your tough talk. So far, all I'm seeing is posturing.
You have chosen not to acknowledge the articles written by very reputable scientists many of hold doctorates.
Appeal to authority. Look it up.
I chose not to accept articles written by a bitter atheist.
Ad hominem fallacy. Look it up. BTW, what makes you think I must be "bitter"? Have I treated you in a "bitter" fashion?
If you would have made any honest inqueries, I would have been open to debating it but you chose not to approach any issue accept what you perceive to be my bias.
I asked you to back up your claims. You refused. At no point have I discussed your bias.
My faith is not open for debate. End of conversation and sender blocked.
How pathetic.
I like the way she claims that if I don't let her appeal to authority rather than making her own arguments, that's the same thing as her dismissing all of my arguments (written by me, not based on any appeal to authority).

And people wonder why I'm a cynic; how could anybody not be a cynic, when regularly confronted with such stupidity?

Geez, Mike. How do you stand it? Ah, that's right, you're a Libra. You can handle that much better than I. (although, I am betting your rising sign is either Taurus or Scorpio.)

I might add it someday, but it's quick and easy to add it to the board, so I've been doing that lately. I'm still hoping to get a response back from that "Professor of Creation Science" guy.

Typical ignorant idiot bitch. I absolutely hate it when they chicken out and block your email address (or at least claim to). I feel tempted to mail Mikes rebuttle to her myself. No one should have the option to wimp out like that regardless of how badly they are getting their ass handed to them. :x

What the hell does she mean by "Goes two ways"? What was the message you sent her?

Sadly, if he lives in America, chances are he won't; the level of ignorance at my high school regarding evolution science is bewildering, and Oregon is supposedly one of the least religious states in the union.

I shudder to think what it would be like to live in a more religious area. Although it might be just the town I live in... it was a KKK hotspot back in the 50's...

So was Albany, IIRC. At least here, people seem pretty religious as a whole, but creationists are few and far between. Most of those are just uninformed, too.

More specifically, a western Canadian ISP. They cover British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. For those who don't know, Alberta is basically Canada's Texas: full of oil, fundies and rednecks.

Good lord, you ain't kidding. One time the premier went into a homeless shelter and threw some money at one of the people staying there and told him, 'get a job you bum.' And what did he say to excuse his action? 'Hey, I was drunk at the time.'

And the people of Alberta accepted that.

I'm just curious about something

almost all of the idiotic dumbarsed hate mail that I've seen posted on the forums or on SD.net seems to come from the US. Is the general population there really as stupid as the e-mails make them out to be. Sorry to make comparisons, but in the UK (where I live), I've never, ever seen idiots on the level I see in some of the e-mails, although of course their are some, but I've just never seen a such a large density as what appears to come from the US

Yep, maybe more so. You have to remember the people who are sending emails are at least smart enough to use a computer and type.

Might have something to do with the type of people that are voicing their idiotic opinions. If they are Creationist e-mails, Creationists are also Christians and are usually really defensive or proselytizing when it comes to God. So they are usually the ones that e-mail a site such as this, and are usually fuckwits, considering their irrational belief in Creationism.

The US has more fundies for some reason. And for a more mysterious reason, these fundies always seem to say that America is such a godless country.

I believe the oxymoronic "creation science" movement orgionated in America, and they want Creationism in schools. But that's because there aree more fundies in the US. Why are all the fundies here? I don't know. They just are. And why are there more fundies in the South?

Yep. Even though he was an admitted alcoholic who got drunk on the job, that was no reason for him to resign. Or even let his deputy Premier take over running the province while he worked through his problems.
