Ralph Nader picks Peter Camejo as VP candidate

With Nader's selection of Peter Camejo as his VP candidate, he could very well get the Green Party's endorsement. With that he could be very well be close to acchieving his goal of getting his name on the ballots in all 50 States. It's possible that he could rally both the old Reform basr and the Radical Green Left to his base giving Kerry a couple of migranes and possibly screwing him like he screwed Gore come November.

Exactly. If I'm going to vote for a third party, I'm going to vote for someone I agree with and not some dumbass who happens to have the BIGGEST third party (huge whoop, there).LadyTevar wrote:Nader. BlahBlahBlah.

You should give a damn: Every vote Nader takes is one that would have otherwise gone to Kerry: In other words, every vote Nader takes increases Shrub's chances of re-election.Wicked Pilot wrote:Sorry, but the give a damn meter is pegged over in zero.

While I think the man is a blister on the ass of politics, Kerry could conceivably win even with Nader in the running. The problem is that Kerry's campaign sucks. We barely hear a fucking peep from the guy. The way things are going, he's going to make the same mistakes Al Gore did this November and end up fucking the country by putting us through another 4 years of that Texan piece of shit.Illuminatus Primus wrote:

Not every vote. A lot of Nader voters are people who otherwise wouldn't vote.Ma Deuce wrote:You should give a damn: Every vote Nader takes is one that would have otherwise gone to Kerry: In other words, every vote Nader takes increases Shrub's chances of re-election.Wicked Pilot wrote:Sorry, but the give a damn meter is pegged over in zero.

And last I checked we weren't legally obligated to vote only for the Democrat or Republican, so Kerry has no claim on the votes for Nader. So what Ossus said it quite true.Illuminatus Primus wrote:Except Kerry has a chance to win in a two-party-only race.
Nader does not.
If Kerry can't get enough votes on his own, and instead has to have people guilt trip every one else into, then he's not worth sending the Oval Office.

Then it seems to me the problem is that Kerry sucks, not that Nader's running. If Kerry can't beat one of the most feckless President's since Carter then he's simply a shitty leader and doesn't deserve the office.Durandal wrote:While I think the man is a blister on the ass of politics, Kerry could conceivably win even with Nader in the running. That's how I look at it. I figure that if Kerry's campaign wasn't quite so horrible, Nader taking 5-7% of the vote wouldn't make a lick of difference. We can blame Nader for "stealing" those votes, but the fact of the matter is that Kerry has no claim on them if Ralph Nader's campaign appeals to voters more than his does (which would be pathetic--Nader is a COMPLETE idiot, and his policies are ATROCIOUS), but the fact of the matter is that if Kerry was taking care of business then it wouldn't matter at all.Stormbringer wrote:Then it seems to me the problem is that Kerry sucks, not that Nader's running.
