Cait Sith is a summoned creature in FF6 (renamed "Stray" in the U.S. version due to a 6-letter character name limitation). It also appeared as a playable character in FF7.
Edit: As for what Cait Sith is, it's a black cat carrying a megaphone and wearing red boots. The FF7 version rides a giant Moogle robot.
