Having a problem with Starcraft on OS X

Whenever I click on the SC installer, a message pops up declaring that 'You need to run the installer from the SC disc.' The disc is in the cd-rom drive, it registers on the computer, so whats the problem?

Are you using the on disk installer or the OS X alternate installer?

IIRC, it needs to install in OS 9. However, once you've done installing, the latest patch allows it to run in X.

I wish sc would work on my comp. I geuss it doesn't like windows 2000, my processor, my ram or that samwitch I ate the other day because it absolutely refuses to run. Luckily, HW2 and the Point Defense mod work perfectly. Well except for the occasional random drops but whatever.
