Just what it says, also how big do you think the starforge is.

I mean all ship from the smallest starfigther to the largest starship.

Given that also the close up of the Capital class ship were dwarfed when approaching the Star Forge...it's likely in the

70-80 KM range in size.

Though actually one could try a wee bit of imrpovisation scaling by taking the size of one of the Sith Fighters...see the size of Republic cruiser and then go from there.

The Republic and Sith capital ships seem pretty unimpressive in size- you can scale from the bridge windows to see that the largest Republic Warship is about the size of a Lancer Frigate, and the Sith warships aren't much better.

True, the Republic cruisers seem to mass slightly more than a Coreillian Corvette and a little less than the Nebulon B. The Sith 'Leviathan' seem bigger but not much if you judge by the command tower and its widows. Perhaps Dreadnaught size.

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

True...though the fighters are pretty small actually...I'd say almost around A-Wing rather then Y or X-Wing level.

How big would one say the Ebon Hawk is?

Which seems pretty small if you take into effect the interior shots of the game and what we know the cockpit looks like and compare that to the exterior windows.

IIRC, they had the MF pegged at 25m too and that was stupid.

If I had to take a rough guess, I'd say in the upper 30's to 40 meter range.

Sounds certainly better.

Another bit is if that small...gives a huge idea of power generation given how much is taken up by empty space in that craft(heck the Hyperdrive is this itty bitty thing)

The Leviathan is supposedly 1600 meters of so, or approximately the size of an ISD, according to sources I've heard from.

Says very little scaling wise, since we have no real determinent.

It's like putting the classic DS2 approach we have for RoTJ.

Indicates it's big but no idea of how big, thus does not answer his question.

The cruisers (for lack of a better name, I'll call it the Leviathan-class from now on) are just exitting the hangar, they are one pixel wide. The Star Forge is roughly 324 pixels long (tall). Assuming that the Leviathan-class is 300 m across, that would make the Star Forge 97.2 km long. While this is far from being the most precise method possible, it gives us a ballpark figure.

Long as in wide or tall?

I'm going to say he's doing length wise.

He does know the height, it's easy enough to get the length from pixel measurement as well.

Also where did you get the 300 m figure for the cruisers?

Also are you basising on that picture since it does not full height of the Star Forge...but it does show the full length.

For the Leviathan, or the Star Forge? Wide for the Leviathan, tall for the Star Forge.
Ghost Rider wrote:Also where did you get the 300 m figure for the cruisers?
ISDs are about 300 m wide. I'm assuming a similar size as a baseline.
Ghost Rider wrote:Also are you basising on that picture since it does not full height of the Star Forge...but it does show the full length.
It doesn't show the full height (which I was referring to as the length), but it does show the entire top half. Since the Star Forge is symetrical, I just multplied the number of pixels there by 2.

Are there better images of those starships? They don't appear to be very large, to me. Still, its a good indication of pre-Empire DS-level industry. Even if it is a silly game :D

Not any scalable ones. The only thing I can think of would be to scale up from the TL batteries (which we see in the bombing of Taris cutscene). But we'd have to assume that turret size for large starships had remained the same over 4000 years, which is a pretty blind guess.

But if you just want a pic that looks cool, here's a good one:

And of course, there's always the first KOTOR desktop image:

Not a good baseline given that an ISD is also built under much different standard of production and engineering standards.

Though I can see why, just saying why an unwise choice.

It does at least give a possible high end range...and also not perfectfectly symetricall given that in the star pic...the globe is not the center of the prongs.
