What I’d like to know is how do you know “no harm was done to a 14 year old”? How do you know he isn’t desperately in love with her and is now devastated that his testimony will probably send her to jail? How do you know that it was just a “lay” to him?

his 14 year old I can guarantee you was not harmed. He enjoyed every inute of it, and will have bragging rights for the rest of his life. males start dreaming about fucking someone in the backseat of an SUV at the age of 11-12 when puberty sets in. At 14 they are raging fleshsacks of hormones and frankly, unless the male is a fundy or otherwise sexually repressed, it is almost psychologically impossible to rape a teenage boy if he finds you in the least attractive, I can guarantee they are ready to go 24/7 if given the opportunity. Believe me I have overhead many a conversation between teenage males talking about a one night stand. The line that stands out in my head is "Dude, what was I supposed to do? Say no?"
This teacher gave him a good lay, and fullfilled his twisted sexual fantasies earier than a girlfriend probably would have fullfilled them.
WHat she did was unethical, and a littel gross, but he was not harmed by it, and therefore not abused.

Anyway, I think what she did was wrong. Not as bad as if the genders were reversed, but still deserving of punishment.
Here you have a 14 year old kid whose hormones are in complete control of him. Were he an adult, he might think of things like whether he would want to make this woman a part of his life, is he protected from STDs, will she get pregnant, does he want to save his first for someone he loves, etc. Even adults will just say "fuck it" as often as not. It is not fair to involve such a young person in that.
P.S. The "he enjoyed it" argument could be used to justify selling him cocaine. Think about that.

It was asked near the very beginning of this thread whether it would have reacted the same way if it was a 23-year old male teacher and a 14-year old female. That question has been handily answered by many people. The fact that they dared answer this question does not make them pedophiles, nor does it mean they condoned this action on the part of the teacher.
Any teacher/student relationship is a conflict of interest and abuse of power by definition, regardless of age. It's like a relationship between a manager and an employee. The teacher is in a position of authority over the student.
