Good on Cosby.
"You've got to stop beating up your women because you can't find a job, because you didn't want to get an education and now you're (earning) minimum wage," Cosby said. "You should have thought more of yourself when you were in high school, when you had an opportunity."
Favourite part.
"Oh no, oh yeah, tell me how can it be so fair
That we dying younger hiding from the police man over there
Just for breathing in the air they wanna leave me in the chair
Electric shocking body rocking beat streeting me to death"

"I think it’s the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately."

I'm surprised he hasn't been called an Uncle Tom yet.

from "Uncle Tom's Cabin" an anti-slavery play where the good happy slave Uncle Tom is beaten by his evil master despite serving them to the best of his capacity....

It was a book before that, a really boring book that wasn't exceptionally well-written. It would have been forgotten long ago if not for the huge impact it had on American history.

Good. I'm sick of the Black Community taking pride in things that are exactly the opposite of what's needed to succeed and be treated as an equal. Bill Cosby, you're my hero. I want to have your babies...or at least more of your babies. Legitimate ones this time...

Unfortunately, this is only earning him headlines like: "Cosby: Turning his Back on his People?"

Has PC gotten so out of control that no one can see he's right? He's not a traitor, he's a patriot.

Yep, it has. Then again, it's always been easier to blame The Man(TM) than to actually get up and work...

It's an insult accusing a black person of being a "house negro" or someone who sucks up to whitey. It actually makes the person issuing the insult look stupid, because as anyone who actually READ Uncle Tom's Cabin knows, Uncle Tom was nobody's stooge. In the book, Uncle Tom is very brave in spite of being a weak and feeble old man, stands up to the slavemaster Simon Legree and is beaten to death rather than betray his fellow slaves. Uncle Tom was no Uncle Tom.

So anyone who calls a person an Uncle Tom is actually praising that person , but too fucking stupid to realize it.

The book was badly written. But there was enough good material that a real writer could have made it a deserving classic. It was, however the best-selling book of the 19th Century in the US. Were it not for the death threats, bombings and other attempts to suppress the book or the serialized version in newspapers, it would have been another dull Victorian-era novel and long forgotten. Just as Catcher In The Rye would have been forgotten years ago were it not for assholes trying to ban it.

I disagree. Catcher in the Rye was a great book and an important one.

My favorite part was this bit toward the end:
"Dogs, water hoses that tear the bark off trees, Emmett Till," he said, naming the black youth who was tortured and murdered in Mississippi in 1955, allegedly for whistling at a white woman. "And you're going to tell me you're going to drop out of school? You're going to tell me you're going to steal from a store?"
Bill Cosby: telling certain people why they ain't going anywhere but where they already is.

I've ranted many times about the "black victim" mentality in America; it's a crippling, self-fulfillilng prophecy. And it's ultimately the ghost of segregation; why the fuck do blacks in America think they need to have a distinct culture?

When people talk about Asian culture, they mean the actual geographical region of Asia, not a Chinese immigrant living in New Jersey. But when people talk about black culture, they're referring to this ghetto gangsta ebonic moron dipshit culture that's been created by drug dealers and youth gangs in the burned-out inner cities of the continental US. It glorifies ignorance and crime, drips with contempt for education and civilized society, and makes really shitty music.

You know what really drives me crazy? Stores which play that shit on their sound systems. Loudly, and obtrusively. It used to be that store music was quiet, inobtrusive, wimpy backtround noise. Now you walk into a goddamned clothing store and fucking rap "music" is blaring out of the speaker. I've walked into stores and turned right around again because I couldn't stomach the thought of shopping in that environment.
