US Discovers Car Bomb Factories In Iraq

CBC wrote:BAGHDAD - U.S. forces say they have stopped suspected insurgents from making at least four car bombs in southern Baghdad.

Soldiers uncovered an operation with bombs "at various stages of completion," U.S. officials said Saturday.

At another site, they found a cache of ammunition, explosives and other weapons, including rocket-propelled grenade launchers.

About 50 people were taken into custody for questioning.

In the southern Iraqi city of Basra, a British convoy came under attack. A rocket- propelled grenade hit two vehicles, including a supply truck. One soldier was slightly wounded.

British troops are currently training Iraqis to take charge of security in parts of the country.

Southwest of Basra, about 10 kilometres from the town of Zubayr, one of the country's two pipelines used to send oil for export in the south has been sabotaged.

British forces found a fire burning on the pipeline on Saturday, despite increased security after a major sabotage operation in the area less than a month ago.
Good job all around. This should but a kink in the rebels ops for a while.

Want to know how long it takes a hajj to get a plan, a mission, a target, and a car full of 1,000 pounds of HE after entering Iraq?

Two days.
