Bras do stave off back problems. *Scratches head.* It's not really the "sag" that most girls worry about, last I heard. It's the fact that two very large lumps of fatty tissue rest on their chest (that happen to resemble a butt) weigh on their body in ways it's not really meant to be weighed on yet. (I'm sure evolution is on this, though.) Bras balance where the weight is held, though it's not enough to prevent most lower back problems.Admiral Valdemar wrote:Going braless is a case-by-case thing. I know some girls who don't need nor want bras and are quite happy, others, well, the jiggling effect is the least of their worries.
I have a friend (truly tiny person, truly huge chest) who wears bras because if she didn't, her back would be in a constant state of pain. This construction would make things worse. As it is, she's fifteen and has some serious back problems already.
Now, for a smaller-chested woman, this wouldn't be an issue. But once you hit C it gets iffy. C is bigger than you think. And the smaller-chested women are the ones who don' have massively uncomfortable combination-lock bras that happen to be difficult to remove with one hand.
