Eh, here's an idea... Perhaps a woman can get this titanium mesh AND wear a bra. Mesh helps fight sag while Bra takes the proper support.

Um, you do realise that the Support is what fights the sag right? And to support the breasts the bra must cup them and if it's doing that, then it's lending support and there's no need for the Mesh (quite apart from the side-effects of the mesh from a health perspective.)

That particular assignment was given to muse & jmac, since they're already so knowledgable about each other's breasts. :D
But you're the official breast spokesperson of SD.net, no breast how-to guide would be complete without your input. :D

Was that to Zaia or me?

Actually broomstick did a goodstarting point in her post (getting a bra fitted correctly, different types for different occasions, proper support, non-constrictive, wide straps for everyday use). Basically expanded on my own. Now you have to expand on hers and make it a full step-by step in the SOS:NBA. :P

"I work in the beauty industry and I know that it is natural for someone to desire a better body. The operation has changed my life and I feel a lot better about myself".
This is what disgusts me. She works in the beauty industry? Maybe the beauty-is-only-skin-deep industry. Or mesh deep. :P But seriously, if she works in the beauty industry, and here she's saying it's only natural to desire a better body?! People, it's because of the images the beauty industry projects that people desire a better body. Without that sort of thing, people would be happier with their body. Unless they had other self esteem issues. Which is another topic.

See, I don't get this "better body" thing at all. Not that I'm some sort of Goddess (well, maybe, but not appearance-wise), but I have a very good and useful body that, for the most part, is low maintenance and may well continue to operate with only minor problems for another half century (or even more, with some luck) Granted, I could do without the allergies - but the titanium-mesh cyber-bra isn't going to fix those. Yeah, maybe it would be nice to be a little taller, a little more this or that... but none of it is bothersome enough for me to do anything about. Really, it's a pretty good body. Some nice curves, sort of a smallish strong-but-feminine thing going on....

Then every now and then I look at the "women's" magazines and find out I need to be taller, thinner, more toned, tanned, not tanned, tucked, nipped, waxed... WTF?

Those aren't women... they're manikins

Reminds me of a conversation I had long ago. Now, as background, I've had pretty much the same hairstyle for last 25-30 years. I've tried changing it once or twice, wasn't comfortable with it, and keep going back. Anyhow, this woman I knew in college kept pestering me to cut my hair, style my hair, color my hair --- basically do anything and everything but what I was doing. I finally told her to bug off, I had no intention of changing my hair.

"But - but it will make you a totally different person!" she said.

I shot back with "Different person? Why would I want to be somebody else - I like being me."

Totally blew her mind. It's like she had never heard another woman say "I like myself the way I am". Well, maybe she hadn't. Really, the woman was flabbergasted. I was sort of shocked myself - at how shocked she was.

Anyhow, when I read about women doing shit like getting implantable bras I always think of that girl. It makes me wonder if these women are just plain uncomfortable with themselves and they're trying to be someone else by changing the outside, instead of changing the inside.

If I may pipe in with the Y chromosome opinion, I don't get it either. I don't expect women to be perfect, hell I no stud muffin myself, (well actually I am, but that's a different topic). I can easily look past a woman's imperfections, er, beauty traits, as long as she has a good personality and a good attitude and makes the effort to do things like stay in shape. I really wouldn't care if her breast were small seeing how that is not something she would have control over, and I sure as hell would not encourage a decision to change that via surgery.

Perhaps you should post a pic of yourself to show off your point. At least that way when I read your post I'm not thinking of some crazy person in a red shirt with 3D classes.

WTF? How on earth would changing something as superficial as your hairstyle make you a Different person? :?

It would make you look different (and if extreme enough a change, maybe even look like a totally different person. But the way you look does not define who you are as a person!

People that shallow as to think that changing how you look will change who you are... words fail me.

Yeah, me too - I was shocked speechless myself. Unfortunately, I have since learned there are a BUNCH of these people running around. All style and no substance.

Yeah. I caught that, too - amazing, huh? Seriously - saw one mag talking about achieving the perfect bronze tan in one article then the next was about how pale was all the rage and the sun would wrinkle you up and give you cancer and you needed to slosh on what was essentially radiation-proof prior to going outside even on a cloudy day. Bizarre.

Actually... if you must know....

That actually IS a picture of me :)

So, presumably, you'd like a slightly less staged picture of me enabling you to better judge my... ah... attitributes?

I'll see if I find something that will do the job. Meanwhile, I leave you with this, because it's already out there and I can link to it easy:

I'll say that while hairstyles can't possible define your personality, I still consider it self-evident that a change in hairstyle may indeed change other people's perception of you.

This titanium mesh thing is one of the most disturbing ideas I've heard of in a while.

As for the big-tit thing in general, that's the difference between what you would stare at and what you would seriously consider an impediment to dating. Sure, men stare at a woman on the beach with big hooters, but that doesn't mean it's actually a serious factor when deciding whether they want to ask her out.

It could be very useful for someone who requires a bra but is very embarrassed about wearing one. ie someone who is male.
