Hapans Vs Borg
Ok, all of Happan space (including the Transitory Mists) is transported into the middle of the AQ. All other species in ST are not going to interfere so there is nothing that is going to stop this little war. Both sides (Borg and Happan) know the main locations for the other sides, ie. captial and planets (Borg do not know loaction of the Happan shipyards unless they can find them in Happan space).
Hapans
Fleet-2,000 ships (1,000 Nova Cruisers; 1,000 Battle Dragons; 10 ISDs captured before this battle. 20 VSDs. The fleet still has their turbolaser limits, 2/3 the firerate of an ISD (except for the ISDs/VSDs). Battle Dragons carry their 36 My'tl fighters and the Star Destroyers carry My'tls as much as tey would have TIEs. Nova Cruisers carry their own fighters as well.
Planets-63 high tech worlds, shipyards are hidden (seeing as though their location has never been said).
Specials-Gun of Command, pulse-mines which create simulated mass gravity for a short time (deployed from 4 launch tubes with 16 mines from the Battle Dragons).
Borg
Fleet-Don't know a lot about the Borg so someone else is going to have to fill this in.
Planets-Again, don't known how many, I thought something like 10,000 system.
Specials-Assmiliation of technology (for the sake of this thread) will not work since the Borg do no posses the materials needed to replicate the tech, but personnel and ships can be taken over (again, does not mean the Borg have all knowledge of how to repliacte the ships).

The Happans have Star Wars grade miltiary technology, and managed to kick the Empire out of there space after the EMperor's death at Endor
The Happans kick the living shit out of the Borg (How many Borg cubes can a single Turbolaser shot destroy again?) and then conquer the rest of the Trek galaxy

I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.
It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.

Its Hapans BTW
The only disadvantage the Hapans have will be their refire rates. They have the same firepower for their Turbolasers as their Imperial counterparts. Also their main warship uses a rotational system to kind of negate this disadvantage. The Hapan fleet you discribe would fairly quickly tear into the fleets of the borg confining them to their planets. I doubt that after the first attempt of invading a Borg planet the Hapans would continue. If the Borg can be contained to their planets then they are no longer a threat and no futher attack would be required. Once their Transwarp hubs and space instalation are destroyed there is not much else that the Borg are going to be able to do.
The Hapans do not have any planet destroying weapons so unless they BDZ every planet they will not be wiping the Borg out.

That was disapointing ..Should we show this Federation how to build a ship so we may have worthy foes? Typhonis 1

Thank you uber much, however, I must live with the mistakes in the actual thread itself. (see all parts where I use the Hapan name).Ghost Rider wrote:Do not fret...my glorificus powers have rectified the mistakeTechno_Union wrote:Damn, I thought something looked wrong.Isolder74 wrote:Its Hapans BTW

With space superiority assured, it would be a trivial matter to find a large asteroid and smack it into a Borg planet at c-fractional velocities. That will eliminate every living thing on that planet as surely as a BDZ. Probably cheaper, too.Isolder74 wrote:The Hapans do not have any planet destroying weapons so unless they BDZ every planet they will not be wiping the Borg out.
Howedar is no longer here. Need to talk to him? Talk to Pick.

That just might work. But a BDZ is probably prettier. Whonder what things a Hapan Captian would engrave on the planet once done with the DBZ?
Resist this?
Resistance was futile!

Seeing that the Hapes suddenly find themselves in the AQ, they could conceivably go completely on the offensive seeing how the Borg many not have the speed to reach their space before they find themselves obliderated within their own territory.
The most basic assumption about the world is that it does not contradict itself.

Just because the Borg have a queen they are not a matricharial society. They are more like insectiod bee hive society as individual drones have no gender. And some uber-evil bitches "flying" around.(Both the Borg and the Hapans are a matricharial society)
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.
yes but even the a bee hive needs a Queen.
just because they don't use their reproductive organs doesn't mean their genderless under all that cybernetics as evidenced by Seven of Nine and Jean-luc Picard.
ok lets compare both the borg and the Hapans
Hapans:
Ruled by a Queen who has control of policies, laws, military.
Borg:
as above, except that in this case she was also the creator of the race.
wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if she was the creator of the borg species.
hell look at Homeworld for instance.
the story of homeworld is that the point where they were designing the mothership, they realised that they couldn't have a normal bridge on the ship as the coordination between the various stations like helm, weapons, and other important parts of the ship.
so what did they do?
one of their citizens developed a conection between herself and a computer.
bingo
all they had to do was hook all the ships functions up to her and let her do the job.
look at the facts.
even if they had of used crew, Where would they get the crew for the fighters and other ships that had to be used during the trip from Khaak(?)(can't remember the name of the planet they started from(it wasn't their original homeworld, hence the name and trip)) to Higara?
they only had 600,000 colonsists!
so the best way would be to use computers.
hell all you have to do to make weapons fire, formations, attacking, resouce gathering, etc, effective would be to use computer programs.
yes computers aren't quite as good as humans, or any other lifeform, but they have several advantages to them.
they don't need life support systems, so more power to weapons, shields, engines, etc.
more accurate
huge numbers of them can be controlled by one person quite comfortablely
they can venture into dangerous areas of space without worrying about the humans onboard.
you can mass produce them quickly to replenish depleted forces.
but computers do have their downsides.
as kirk once said: Computers were made to be outsmarted.
to run they need power.
they can be disabled by EMP(Electro-Magnetic-Pulse) weapons or Ion cannons
they can only adapt to a certain degree and are not very inventive
"they are only as smart as their user."
in all three starfaring societys, they have one CoC, the Queen

The queen may have absolute rule but killing her would not disable any Hapan war effort like killing the Borg Queen would
