Techno

Post by haas mark »

What is your favorite kind of techno?

I like upbeat techno.

I like trance (sometimes), industrial (sometimes goth), and symphonic. (Nothing beats symphonic techno!)

I pretty much like anything that I can dance to...On the other hand, I can dance to house music, but I don't like it all that much...

I also dance with my hands, meaning GLOWSTICKS. Which is why I like the industrial.

Also, as far as groups, I like minister and trance control...

And you?

Gotta have Leftfield in there. The Prodigy, Aphex Twin (doesn't get any more industrial than "Come to Daddy"), The Crystal Method, Ferry Corsten, JXL's stuff from the soundtrack to "Siberia", The Chemical Brother's, Pump Panel, Bexta (female australian DJ). Sonic Animation, Groove Terminator, Mark Dynamix and Itchee and Scratchee (all Australian).

Verilon, since you're into trance, search for this song on Kazza "Itchee and Scratchee - Sweetness and Light". F***ing awesome, a complete trip out...

Some of it's quite catchy, although I'm not an avid listener. Judging by the names, I'd go with symphonic techno.

Astral Projection.

They're an Israeli techno group, if I understand correctly. Genre is "Goa Trance".

I really like them. Each of their songs is about 10 minutes long, and feature some really sweet repetitions (and several songs have samples from Dune, ST TNG, and ST TMP, among others).

Gotta love the Crystal Method. Aphex twin and chemical brothers are good too. I only wish song spy hadn't died.

The only techno I know is the techno version of Carl Orff's Oh Fortuna.
But it rocked, man.
Oh yeah.
