Medstar I: Battle Surgeons

Post by Dargos »

It was interesting to see the CW through the eyes of those who have to patch up the Troopers and send them back out to the meatgrinder.

The author seemed to borrow a little from KOTOR for his characters though (self-aware robot with memory problems).

One funny moment is the quick jab at a certain other popular Sci-Fi series that we all know..... I thought it was rather funny

Anyone else read this novel yet?

I don't think I'll be buying any more SW novels. I bowed out toward the end of NJO. What was the scene you described above? Go ahead and spoil it, I'm not going to read it anyway.

"Until someone finally figured out how to invent a gadget that could instantaneously assemble a meal from basic elements, like theadventurers in those silly future-fic holodramas were always using, military food would always be a chancey affair.
I know its not a full broadside but still...

I agree; the CW novels hold little to no interest for me (and my wallet for that matter  ).

It is nice to see that they've finally begun to move towards a real Expanded Universe, but it strikes me as too little way too late.
