I know he's insulting me. I'm challenging him to know what the words he's spewing actually mean, rather than simply vomiting in my general direction as per his modus operandi.

Because, we all know, he has no answer because he just kneejerked, and unlike most of the flames on this board, was just empty hot-air directed in a general direction with absolutely zero actual content or critique of the point at hand. A me-tooer for Sheppard, and nothing more.

Damien, Vymp, Olrik...this isn't going to go anywhere, and I don't see what's really there to be arguing. Might we lock this before it turns into a cesspool?

Bush must show evidence of character before he can be attacked on it. I agree John Kerry may not have been the best choice for the Dems, But, there is one awesome reason he is MILES beyond Bush:

He isn't Bush.

Bush assassinated his own character by being a lying sack of dogshit. But anyone who attacks him or his policies are simply Unpatriotic. scre Shrubby with a chainsaw.

Not "in Congress" or "in the government" and especially not "senators from Massachusetts."

"in the White House"

I'm not seeing why it was any less important for Kerry to read the full report than for Bush to read it. While Bush may have been the one who decided he wanted war, Kerry had the duty as a member of Congress to determine whether or not it was acceptable to follow up on that desire.

And we don't know whether or not Kerry read it. Durbin said that he didn't know if Kerry read it. Well guess what? I don't know if Kerry read it. Does that mean a newspaper can whistle my statement up and then some moron on a BBS can take my words to mean that Kerry did not read the report?

Do we even know if Kerry had access to the memo? It was a presidential memo, and Kerry isn't the president, after all.

Now now, Durandal. You're letting things like facts get in the way of childish screeching. This is a politics forum, after all.
