It was interesting to see the CW through the eyes of those who have to patch up the Troopers and send them back out to the meatgrinder.
The author seemed to borrow a little from KOTOR for his characters though (self-aware robot with memory problems).
One funny moment is the quick jab at a certain other popular Sci-Fi series that we all know..... I thought it was rather funny

I don't think I'll be buying any more SW novels. I bowed out toward the end of NJO. What was the scene you described above? I know its not a full broadside but still..."Until someone finally figured out how to invent a gadget that could instantaneously assemble a meal from basic elements, like theadventurers in those silly future-fic holodramas were always using, military food would always be a chancey affair.
